I'm going to go cry now.

I know this isn't a big deal.

But I've just been stabbed in the back.

Gen,

Some of our members have approached me about Gayla. Nina and I have already let you know that we won't be there due to formals; however, I'm realizing that a lot of our group does not feel committed to this performance. If Emma is the same as she was today, that leaves Amanda singing a solo for the second sopranos (something she might not be prepared to do). I'm aware that we've known about Gayla for some time, but some of the girls have approached me individually and expressed their lack of enthusiasm and interest in this performance. I know this should have been discussed earlier with more people present, but I think some people even feel coerced.

I know how much this performance means to you, and that you've been shot down for the past two years by previous ATM members. However, I'm afraid some people might not show up because they're not as dedicated as you are. I think the late time and the fact that this is on a Saturday is the major issue and is what is causing all these problems.

I realize you've told Gayla we will be performing, but it is one song and it's my opinion that it would be best not to perform because I feel our lack of enthusiasm will not lead to a successful performance.

Please let me know if you would like to meet and talk about this more.

Hilary

I may just sucker-punch them right back and quit. If a bunch of children don't have the courage or the respect to come to me about this face-to-face, fuck them. Fuck my life. Fuck cowardly, ignorant, and disrespectful people. I don't need you.
