Tomorrow (today) is the 4th show of the tour. It's midnight and I am on my 7th beer. For someone who must--with great imperative--get up at 4am I am acting like a jackass.
heh, I'm back to working techie hours again. in at the yard at 3:30, and I'm just now home at after 6AM.
and yeah, I think you were a little hard on the guy. I can easily picture the situation, and unless he was giving attitude about it, I'd cut him some slack.
I'm kinda uptight in general, so I probably would have bitched the guy out too -- I usually don't agree to do something until I know I can deliver. I'd probably give him another chance, though, because it's really a different mode of communication more than an actual flake-out.

Exactly. This sometimes gets me in trouble with a client who just wants to see a smiley face and hear a "yes!" but I prefer to keep my word.
Hangover Show was not bad. The worst part was Tech Director who could not stop making bad jokes and asinine remarks. My ability to smile and make nice was severely tested.
Sadly, the drive afterwards was only 2 hours but with only 30 minutes left I had to stop at a truck stop and sleep for 30 minutes.
It was below zero and gusty winds are a hardship when driving what is essentially a barn door and I was nodding off in an alarming fashion.
