I'm sorry it is so hard to let go, but your hard work is also helping Gabriel find a good, loving home (and a time to heal from his frostbite, the poor thing).
I'm so glad he opened up a bit and loves to play. Ethel still gets weird with Doug -- she'll sometimes sit near him, sometimes she'll hide under the couch. But she sleeps on him at night (it took her two years to get to that point), which is really quite funny to witness.
Now I feel stupid cause I was all drunk and emo when I wrote this. I'll be OK, he'll be OK. I just saw on the news tonight that the shelter rescued over 100 cats from a trailer so there will probably be a bunch who need some rehabilitation before they can be adopted. Time to take in someone new.
Thanks for the reassurance. I sometimes wonder if I shouldn't post about my fosters, it's just the same story over and over.

I think it's really awesome that you foster.
