My resolution for this year kind of sounds simple, but doesn't really express the multi-faceted program I'm attempting to improve myself.
- Continue to improve health by keeping daily fat intake to <40 grams with goal being 20 grams daily
- Increase physical health and activity
- Improve emotional health by practicing gratitude and affirming the positive

As for the religion thing, have you considered looking at a non-denominational church? My sister and her husband have had trouble finding something they could agree on until they tried a couple of those churches.
Good luck on the progress and I look forward to hearing more.
