And on that note - I know you said that you didn't want any TT fic recs but you have to read this one.
Heart, Humble by brown_betty - It's a short gen piece from Tim's father's point of view after discovering Tim is Robin. You remember in TT when Tim quit and Kon went looking for him? Well he quit because his father found out what Tim was doing with his nights and had a breakdown and yelled at Bruce a lot.
It's wonderful and by the time I finished reading it I loved Tim more than I thought was possible. It'll make Identity Crisis a lot more poignant for you when you get to it. Trust me.

Love, LOVE your enthusiastic and deep appreciation of this episode. I'm one of the dreaded Clana fans out there, and I must admit, even if it's just a one time thing, it's making my heart glad to see other people finally seeing the beauty of their coupling.
Part of that is who Clark is - and thank god they're showing that side of him more after he's been running around careless with lives for forever - but the other part? Loves Lex more than Lana (his wife!) does even now, after everything. I don't even mean that in a oh they are gay for each other way. When Clark asked 'Were we ever even friends, Lex?' - YES. He answers that with the choices he makes all the time. Lex was 'his friend' (obligatory *SOB*) and Clark was Lex's 'only real friend' and neither of them is getting over it EVER. Through all the lies and the doubts and shit that went with their relationship - there was something there that was genuine no matter what they tell ( ... )

I'm one of the dreaded Clana fans out there - It's going to be awesome having a Clana fan on my flist! I didn't know they existed in fandom. Can I poke and study you? *g*
I have to say I'm really coming around on the Clana. The more I re-watch old episodes the more I find myself tolerating it and then with this episode - like I said - I BELIEVED IT. It was just . . . KNOCK ME OFF MY ASS GORGEOUS.

LJ isn't historically a very Clana friendly atmosphere. It's my Clex interests that brought me here in the first place. There are Clana fans on LJ, but they tend to hide in the cracks.

Even when it's bad (and I have no problem admitting that it's been BAD,) it's still GORGEOUS.

LJ isn't historically a very Clana friendly atmosphere. - Yeah, no kidding. That's one of the few drawbacks of Smallville fandom - it's seems to be all Clex or nothing. It's too bad it limits itself that way because there is lots of room for other awesome things. Clark/Ollie for example *g* Coming from the HP fandom where you can find fic for just about anybody, it's a bit disheartening but ah well. What are you gonna do? SV fandom rocks in so many other ways. I sure hope nobody has been rude to you about your Clana love.
