I have been seriously contemplating getting my first tattoo for a little while, and have decided on using the quote, "Though my soul may set in darkness it will rise in perfect light, I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night." The people who attribute it to Galileo are just plain wrong. It's one of those Internet-perpetuated myths. They like the idea of him saying it.
I ran into a problem with another quote I love - "And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took for it to blossom..." attributed EVERYWHERE to Anais Nin, though I cannot find a single source that says WHERE she wrote it, and I have never seen it in any of her writings. So, I decided not to get it tattooed. Cause, boo.
ANYWAY.
When I was thinking about it, I thought about also potentially including a few of the stars from The Little Prince. I think you could just sprinkle some stars around sparingly (in whatever symbolic form you like them) and it would be lovely and simple and enhance it.
