I read The Hunger Games last month or so. I'm sure if I had read it as a child, it would've been one of my favorites. As it was, I still loved it, particularly for the "real heroine" and pacing aspects - I didn't even catch the ancient Rome parallels! Bah.

Great review! I really need to check out THE HUNGER GAMES sometime. I've heard nothing but good things about it!
