I have thought of an awesome gift for my nephew for Christmas. He's learning to play the piano, but the sheet music he has to practice is pretty dull and boring. So are most of the actual songs. This puts a serious damper on his desire to practice piano. So, I want to give him sheet music for Christmas ( Read more... )

Any versions of the Zelda scores would be good. Very recognizable.

Does he play Pokémon? That game definitely has some recognizable music. I still get tense when I hear Gary's piano trill XD

He does! Can you get me the name of this song and/or a sound clip of it on YouTube?

It's called "Rival Appears" from Pokemon Blue & Red:

He might not recognize the song, though, since it's from the first game. Do you know which version of Pokemon he plays?

Sweet. Thanks!

According to my other nephew, the nephew in question has played Ruby, Soul Silver, and Platinum. Hope that means something to you, 'cause it's all Greek to me. :3;

Nivi do it. When I was learning to play the piano (well, before I gave up fuu) I made my own sheet music from Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I had such a blast playing it, though my parents didn't appreciate me playing Siera's Song forty times xD

I'd go for some Donky Kong, Zelda, and Pokemon music \o\! Maybe throw in something from Jak and Daxter even though it may be incredibly challenging.
