OK! Finished up my game contract on Friday, had a nice weekend, then missed Monday and most of this morning feelin sick once again. I really got to nail down wtf this headache/nausea thing is about cause it sucks. Ah well. Tomorrow I'll get my ass down to the unemployment office and see if I can get back on it. Also am barking up some trees ( Read more... )

Aw, am sorry I can't offer any elp or advice on the foreclosure front. :( I hope you have a good time with your folks!

I've been meaning to ask! Where does one get Doctor Who audio stuff? If you have a recommended site or store, we would appreciate a link very much! We really have no idea where to start looking.

No trouble, and thanks!

My favorite way to get the Big Finish Audio stuff is to purchase the downloadable ones from the Big Finish site. I don't think they have a specific list of which ones are downloadable, but there aren't all that many that are CD-only. For instance, there are only like three from their archive of 1 - 75 from the main series that you can't download. Their prices for the physical CD's are pretty competitive too. They don't seem to be any higher than WHONA's prices - I checked one of my faves and it was $25 after shipping at both stores, and $21 from several Amazon.com resellers... but only $12 for the Big Finish site mp3 download.

They also offer most of the Episode 1's for a dollar. :D

If you want any recs or reviews, I've listened to damn near all of them. Just ask! :D

Most of the other audio stuff (like the Tenth Doctor audiobooks) seems to be priced pretty well on Amazon.

Thanks for the link and the info!

I'm kind of leaning towards getting some Eighth Doctor stuff, since I feel bad that I don't really have a "feel" for him. Also, buying anything related to the Eighth Doctor will increase the chances that Character Options will release an Eighth Doctor figure, just as clapping will revive fairies.

Do you think the headache/nausea thing might be sinus problems? I've had that off and on for years, I'll wake up with a sinus headache and I'll be nauseaous from post-nasal drip. It's usually seasonal for me, and the dry winter months are the worst. Maybe try taking a decongestant before bed one night and see if it helps?

Thanks for the lead, but the nausea seems to come directly from the headache for me. It's the behind-the-eyeball and down-one-side-of-the-neck style headache, it kind of responds to plain aspirin but not really to anything else, it kills my appetite, and if I move at all it makes me want to hurl.. Yey! XD

I thought it might be related to irregular eating, then I thought it might be related to eating food that was too oily/greasy, then I thought it might be hormonal, but the only thing that stays consistent about it is that it usually happens on weekends, or when I'm on vacation and having a really nice time, so maybe it's de-stressing-related somehow. What a pain in the ass. XD

If it has nothing to do with oily/greasy stuff then you can continue to eat fries! Hooray!

...actually I don't recommend it. Even though fries are too tasty to live.

Eeeeep, I hate those. I used to get those as a result of trying to sleep off the sinus headaches, often when I slept they'd just mutate into something much, much worse until I got smart and started taking Advil before bed any time I had even the slightest trace of a headache.

Boo to confusing adult money problems. Boo to sickness. Be rid of problems. Be unsick. *wiggles fingers with waves of yay* Liiiiiiive.

You do not like Peter Gabriel's new CD! Gasp. :( I liked the two songs I heard out of it... but I suppose they're both incredibly mellow-sounding and if the whole CD's like that... sad.

Hee, thanks Pupp.

I haven't heard the whole thing either, I just am not really diggin' the overwrought-vocals-with-string-arrangement thing he's got going on.

Did you watch Thief and the Cobbler on YouTube? I had never even seen the officially released version when Clay Croker mentioned the movie in a panel at Dragon*Con. When I got home, I watched the unfinished version bit by bit. I remember being struck by the crazy perspective shots and by Vincent Price's typical bad-assery.

Nah, downloaded the ISO. But yeah, it's the 3rd ed by the same guy. Trip-PAY. Price is just as badass in the official version but the rest of the film isn't nearly as good.
