Are You Ready for the Zombie Hordes?

Jul 20, 2006 00:12

Following in the wise footsteps of 30toseoul, I have done a thorough investigation into:
The State of Readiness of My Home for Zombie Attack

Structurally: Our house is earthquake retrofitted so it could probably withstand a substantial amount of zombie battering, but it also has large front windows much less likely to survive the initial assault. (Upside: ( Read more... )

This is a good thing! But do not permit your mirth to distract you from zombie readiness. Zombie readiness is very important.

But...we live in the south. I'm pretty sure all of my neighbors have guns, possible assault weapons. Also, they like burning things in their back yards...whcih actually could have been unfortunate zombies who wandered by only to be sidelined by pimply boys in pick up trucks...

Also it is a million degrees here. I'm thinking they might spontaneously combust.

Or you know rot faster, because of the humidity.

Do Zombies make good mulch do you think? ::contemplates renting a large capacity chipper/shredder:::

::waves hi from downtown::

I love you.

If they can be lured onto the eastbound 10 at around 5pm, we should be safe; even people *with* brains get confused by the East LA interchange, and nobody will let them near an offramp much before then.

*nods thoughtfully*

We should also make an attempt to get them into the 5/405 interchange. No one gets out of there alive.

And if they come on a sunny weekend (or in mudslide weather), PCH through Malibu is the obvious solution. (Plus, if they have to come from San Fernando Valley on a weekday morning, they will never make it here. Zombies are no match for commuters.)

Yes! We will use our local knowledge against them!

You are clearly a master of defensive cunning; will you be in my Zombie Alliance Troop?

Zombie-Attack Preparedness Plan

Step 1: Marry lawyer. Some things even zombies won't touch. [weg]

Step 2: Cower effectively behind spouse who's both taller and wider than I am.

Step 3: Build a labyrinth of bookshelves that'd confuse a cat, let alone hapless zombies.

Step 4: Print out TFV and L_A posts; chortle evilly and make escape while zombies are mesmerized by gesticulatory prose.
