Here is the chapter of "House of Pullip" I meant to get to yesterday. Please enjoy! And because tomorrow is a holiday (here in the US) I'm not sure when I'll post the next chapter...but it won't be more then a day or two from now. :D
Chapter 223: Wondering
*Sebastian is helping Ronan clean up after Roxanne and Wolfgang’s wedding*
Ronan: Thank you for your help.
Sebastian: Not a problem.
Ronan: Sir…may I…ask you something?
Sebastian: Certainly.
*Before Ronan can continue Kiki enters and Ronan quickly busies himself with other things…Sebastian immediately knows Ronan would rather talk to him privately*
Kiki: *smiles* That’s everything, I think.
Sebastian: Leave the box here; I will bring it to the store later.
Kiki: Speaking of the store…I really need to get back there.
Sebastian: I will join you before long.
*Kiki leaves and Ronan looks ready to talk again*
Sebastian: What it is you wished to ask me?
Ronan: It is about Miss Kiki…
Sebastian: *with warning* Ronan…
Ronan: Please, it is nothing bad…just curiosity really.
Sebastian: What is it?
Ronan: How did you know you loved her?
Sebastian: *looks at Ronan strangely* I just…knew. Haven’t you ever felt that way about a lady before?
Ronan: No.
Sebastian: *blinks at Ronan’s blunt honesty*
Ronan: I see the people around me in love and it confuses me. Maybe I am not capable of feeling that way.
Sebastian: I doubt that. You just have not met the right lady. When you do you will know.
Elsewhere…
*Melodie finds Paige all alone*
Melodie: Paige, I’ve been looking everywhere for you!
Paige: *sniff*
Melodie: What’s wrong?
Paige: It’s over, Melodie…it’s really over.
Melodie: Oh…Sebastian…
*Paige nods*
Melodie: I know it’s hard…
Paige: How would you know? You’ve never been in love!
Melodie: *sigh* Just once…
Paige: *shocked* You have? When? Why didn’t you tell me?
Melodie: It was a long time ago and I don’t like talking about it.
Paige: What happened?
Melodie: Let’s just say I’ve made mistakes that have driven a perfectly good man away, too.
*Paige stares*
Melodie: So I do understand. And I am sorry. You’ll be hurting for a long time. Best not to dwell on that, but working will take your mind off things until the worst part is over.
Paige: *sigh*
Melodie: Come see the little ones with me…they always cheer me up.
Paige: *isn’t really in the mood, but decides to go anyway* Okay…okay, I will.
Meanwhile…
*Felix watches Ivy as she fiddles with her phone, they are both very quiet*
Felix: Why do you keep looking at your phone?
Ivy: No reason.
*Felix raises his eyebrows at her*
Ivy: *sigh* Fine…I’m just hoping Zander might call.
Felix: That guy from your date?
Ivy: Yeah. But he hasn’t called yet…I’m starting to think he probably won’t call again…Sabrina might have scared him too much.
Felix: It’s possible. Why don’t you just call him yourself if it means so much to you.
Ivy: I don’t want to look desperate!
Felix: Well…don’t wait too long. If he’s not smart enough to call you or something then just move on.
Ivy: Start all over…great. This is why I hate dating!
Felix: *laughs* There must be other guys you know that you could call. Another guy you met at the club maybe?
Ivy: I don’t know…but maybe you are right. I mean I might give Zander a few more days, but I should probably take a hint and move on.
