Chapter 231: Alternative
*Ivy is walking along when Felix comes up behind her*
Felix: Ivy! Wait up…
Ivy: *blushes and cringes*
Felix: Hey…I haven’t seen you in a while, how have you been?
Ivy: Fine.
Felix: Are you…avoiding me?
Ivy: Maybe.
Felix: Listen, I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings the last time we talked. I’m sorry.
*Ivy shrugs*
*They lapse into an awkward silence*
Felix: Ivy-
*Felix is interrupted as Ivy’s phone rings. Ivy ignores it, waiting to hear what Felix was going to say*
Felix: Aren’t you going to get that?
Ivy: Yeah, I guess…
*Ivy answers her phone*
Ivy: Hello? *surprised* …Oh…hi, Zander.
*Felix raises his eyebrows*
Zander: Hey, I’m really sorry about our date. I feel bad that I kind of left in a hurry. And then I never had time to call you because I got really busy with school.
Ivy: Oh…that’s okay. Did…um…Sabrina scare you away?
Zander: *laughs* Yeah, she did! I’m sure she told you some things about me…I admit I’ve made mistakes but I’m trying to do better. I’m hoping you’ll give me another chance…will you please go out with me again? I promise I won’t run off this time, even if Sabrina is there. Please?
Ivy: Another date? Uh…I don’t know…
*Ivy glances at Felix who gestures for her to accept the date*
Ivy: *sigh* Well…okay.
Zander: Really? You want to? Great! *They make arrangements to go out the following weekend*
Ivy: *trying to sound enthusiastic* Sounds good…I’ll see you then…bye.
*Ivy hangs up her phone feeling extremely let down*
Felix: Way to go. Maybe he isn’t as much of a loser as I thought…
*Ivy shrugs again*
Felix: Promise me you will at least try to have fun?
Ivy: I’ll try.
Felix: Good. Well, I’ve gotta run to work. See you later?
Ivy: Yeah…sure…bye.
Ivy: *sigh*

Somehow Felix missed the lesson on if a girl likes you and you don't feel the same, it's bad form to try and pawn her off on another guy. But, to Felix's credit, he is trying. More soon!
Oh...and I know I'm skipping around a lot, but as usual I have a lot of plots going on at once. Let me know if it gets too confusing.
The buyer for my Min Del Re received her just fine...but she told me that when she was delivered they need "cash on delivery" in the amount of $84! I was horrified and I don't understand why she was charged so much. My understanding was I paid for the postage in full when I mailed it (and it cost me just under $30 including the insurance, etc.). She says it was not a customs fee, but maybe she misunderstood? Either way I feel bad, but luckily the buyer isn't upset with me or anything, she just told me to be informative. I'm glad she's not upset, but I still feel really bad she had to pay so much after she had already paid me. :( Maybe next time I sell something so expensive I should just stick to within the U.S. only...but, dang, I've never had that happen (but I've also never sent something so expensive overseas so maybe I just didn't know). Anyway...blah.
