It's a miracle I got this chapter of "House of Pullip" ready today...it's been one of those days. Anyway, here it is, I hope you like it! :D
Chapter 246: Another Date Night
*Ivy and Felix meet for their date*
Felix: You look really pretty.
Ivy: *smiles and blushes* Thank you.
Felix: Here, I brought you these. *he hands her some flowers*
Ivy: Oh…how beautiful!
Felix: I’m glad you like them.
Ivy: You didn’t have to…
Felix: I know, but I wanted to.
*Ivy smiles again, obviously pleased*
Felix: Come on, we should go.
*Felix holds out his hand to Ivy, who looks at it tentatively and does not take it*
Felix: *encourages her to take his hand* It’s okay…come on.
*Ivy nervous but eagerly takes Felix’s hand and he leads her away*
Elsewhere…
*Annike is out with Lucas again*
Annike: Where are you taking me?
Lucas: Just over here, I want to show you something…
Lucas: Right here.
Annike: *teases and smirks* That’s just your guitar…I’ve seen it already…I gave it to you.
Lucas: Sit down right there…there’s more to show you.
*Annike sits, Lucas picks up his guitar and starts to play it*
Annike: Oh…you aren’t going to sing, are you?
Lucas: I know it’s not my strong point, but can you let me at least try?
Annike: Alright…I just hope it’s better then the last time I heard you sing.
Lucas: Heh, we’ll see…
*Lucas plays in earnest and sings…*
Lucas: “When you find yourself in some far off place and it causes you to rethink some things. You start to sense that slowly you’re becoming someone else. And then you find yourself…”
Lucas: “You go through life so sure of where you’re headed. You wind up lost and it’s the best thing that could have happened. Sometimes when you lose your way it’s really just as well. Because you find yourself, yeah, that’s when you find yourself…”
Lucas: “When you meet the one you’ve been waiting for and she’s everything that you want and more. You look at her and you finally start to live for someone else. Then you find yourself, that’s when you find yourself…”
*Lucas finishes his song, Annike is quiet and not looking at him*
Lucas: Nika? You okay? My singing wasn’t that bad, was it?
Annike: *whispers* You’re singing was…just fine…
Lucas: What’s wrong then? Please look at me…
*Annike finally looks up and is, for once, completely serious*
Annike: Lucas…it was…wonderful.
Lucas: You liked it?
Annike: Very much. Did you…mean what you said?
Lucas: Every word.
*Lucas gets down close to Annike*
Annike: Lucas…I…I…
Lucas: Shhh…don’t say anything…
*Lucas kisses her firmly, Annike does not complain but kisses him back without hesitation*

First, please notice that Ivy is a bit more enthusiastic about going out with Felix then she was with Zander...yet still a bit hestitant (she can't help that part, heh). More with the rest of their date later...
Second...Annike and Lucas...we knew this was coming. The song is called "Find Yourself" and I sort of picked out my favorite lyrics for this chapter but didn't use the whole thing. I have to forgive the song for being country, I'm not really a fan of that music genre myself, but I love the words. Pretend Lucas is singing it in rock-ballad style (he would not do country, heh).
So...my day. Ugh. I had all this back-to-school crap to take care of, all three of my kids go to three different schools, they are just spaced that way. So I had to take two of them to their school for schedule pick up and meet the teacher, that kind of thing. Plus I had to take my son to a doctor's appointment and I had shopping to do because my daughter's Birthday is on Monday and I totally hadn't gotten her anything yet. :O I took care of that, no problem, her wish list was really easy to work with, I like that. I would have done some of this tomorrow but I'm going to be gone all morning and in the afternoon/evening I have to work on two big things I need to have ready for Sunday morning (Church stuff). So, by Sunday afternoon I'll be able to relax...but I'm saving it for that, just relaxing. Monday it will all get crazy again because it's the first day of school, that's always nuts, and like I said it's my daughter's Birthday so I need to make sure I have everything for that.
The bad thing is I'm not getting a good feeling already about my daughter's school or something this year. You know when you just get that feeling that something is not the way it should be? Well, I trust that kind of instinct (especially as a mother) and I was getting that really negative vibe while I was at her school today. The problem is I don't know exactly why I was feeling that way so I think I just need to be extra watchful on my daughter and make sure I talk to her a lot so I know right away if something is wrong. In the meantime I'm trying to make sure I don't let her know I feel this way, or she'll start worrying for maybe no reason and that won't accomplish anything. :P
