Chapter 265: Distraught
Ronan: You are back!
*Melodie looks distraught*
Ronan: Oh…Miss Melodie, what is the matter?
Melodie: *no response*
*Ronan jumps up*
Ronan: Melodie…
Melodie: *shakes her head and whispers* Not in front of the children, I don’t want them to see me like this.
Ronan: Let me take care of that.
*Melodie sits down as Ronan talks to the little ones*
Ronan: Why don’t you all go see Miss Kiki at “The Sweet Shoppe”? Here is some money, you can get cookies.
*The little ones get excited about this idea*
*The little ones leave*
Melodie: Will they be okay?
Ronan: It’s just around the corner and you said yourself they have been there many times on their own. Miss Kiki will keep an eye on them and we can fetch them as soon as you are feeling better.
*Melodie nods, still looking stricken*
Ronan: Now…tell me what is upsetting you.
Melodie: Oh, Ronan! I can’t keep the children! Paige just told me…
Ronan: What?
Melodie: I’m their Fairy Godmother, but I need to help find them parents of their own.
Ronan: I see…I know how much you love them.
Melodie: Yes, I can’t stand the idea of losing them!
Ronan: I am very sorry.
Melodie: Paige thinks she knows someone who will be a good mother for Penelope…I’m not sure I’m strong enough to do it…even though I know it’s the right thing to do.
Ronan: It is probably the right thing to do…but I know you can do it. You know I will help you if you want.
Melodie: Thank you Ronan, that is really nice of you to say.
Ronan: You know I am very fond of you, Miss.
Melodie: Oh…?
*Ronan embraces a confused Melodie*
Ronan: I will do anything to make you smile.
*Melodie pushes him away*
Melodie: Now isn’t the time for this, Ronan!
Ronan: Miss?
Melodie: Besides…I…thought you were more interested in the little ones then me.
Ronan: I am interested in the children.
Melodie: But why? Because you care about them or just because of me?
Ronan: *no response*
Melodie: You used them to get to me? That’s terrible!
Ronan: No, it’s not like that! Really, Miss, I assure you…
Melodie: Never mind, I’ll take care of them myself and figure this out myself. I don’t need you!
Ronan: Please, I just want to help.
Melodie: No…you want romance. How selfish! Besides…I don’t…I mean…my feelings aren’t…
Ronan: Say no more, Miss, I know what you are going to say.
Melodie: I’ll take care of the little ones myself, I don’t need you!
Ronan: *disappointed* What did I do wrong? That did not go at all like I planned…

Yes, Melodie is upset so she is totally overreacting to poor Ronan...who is actually being very sweet. However, his timing is not the best, he might want to rethink the right time to declare his feelings. :P Unfortunately, in this case, it may not have mattered since Melodie does not think that way about Ronan at all. If he had waited he might have had a better chance though.
Introducing the newest arrival, Taryn!
Taryn is my Prunella who just arrived today. :D I bought her pre-loved from marryth and she is rewigged with a brown fur wig. I had a new Obitsu waiting for her when she got here so I immediately changed her body before taking any photos.
I was waiting for the right Prunella to come along, and I really loved the wig on this one so she is just what I wanted. I wanted a Pullip with a fur wig for a long time, too, so it just worked out perfect. I have plenty of boys with fur wigs...but I wanted a girl (Oki has mohair, she doesn't count). :P
Look at that face, she's gorgeous! I love her face up, it's very beautiful and well done. Her lips (which I didn't think I'd like much) and her eyebrows are my favorite part.
There's a few more photos on my Flickr if you are interested, but I'm sure I'll photograph her a ton more in the next few weeks. I already know how I want her to fit into my photo story, but I don't know when I'll get to that. Also, if/when I get Jade I think he will be her brother, Laszlo...but I haven't ordered him yet although I'm pretty sure I'm going to, I'm just not in a rush.
