Here's another new chapter of "House of Pullip", I hope you enjoy it. :D Sorry if the story is moving a tiny bit slow at the moment but more is going to happen soon, I promise...just stick with me here...
Chapter 271: Interview
*A young woman enters “The Sweet Shoppe”*
Woman: Ah…this store is so cute…I love it here!
Kiki: Good afternoon, may I help you?
Woman: My name is Taryn and I’m here to see Kiki.
Kiki: That’s me…oh, yes, Taryn! You are here for a job interview.
Taryn: Yes, it’s nice to meet you, Kiki.
Kiki: Thank you for coming. Let me show you around a little and then we can do the interview…
Elsewhere…
Ronan: So…Miss Sabrina…what are you going to do to “help” me now?
Sabrina: Hmmm… *thinks*
Sabrina: I don’t know, Ronan…you’ve come a long way. I don’t think there is anything else I can do for you.
Ronan: Oh… *disappointed*
Sabrina: Don’t worry! You’ll do just fine if you remember what I told you.
Ronan: It’s not that…I just…well…
Sabrina: Spit it out, Ronan.
Ronan: Can we still spend time together?
Sabrina: Why?
Ronan: I think you are a good friend.
Sabrina: You like torture, eh? You should have said so sooner, I would have picked on you more. *laughs*
Ronan: No…I mean it!
Sabrina: You’re serious?
Ronan: I don’t have many friends but I…like being with you. I was hoping you felt the same.
Sabrina: I’ll admit, I used to think you were a stick in the mud…but not so much now.
Ronan: If I’ve loosened up it’s a credit to you. Please, are we friends?
Sabrina: Sure, Ronan…if it means that much to you.
Ronan: Only if you don’t mind.
Sabrina: I don’t have many friends either…I’m not that good at it, but it would be nice to have more friends who…want to.
Ronan: I do.
Sabrina: Okay then.
Meanwhile…
*Back at “The Sweet Shoppe”, Kiki is happily humming to herself*
*Sebastian enters*
Sebastian: How are you today, my dear?
Kiki: Wonderful!
Sebastian: Oh?
Kiki: You were right! I had that woman I told you about in here for an interview and…she’s the one, I know it. I’m going to offer her the job tomorrow.
Sebastian: Congratulations!
Kiki: Thank you, I’m so excited! It will take a few weeks to train her and get everything situated but after that we can spend more time together.
Sebastian: I hope you know how much I appreciate everything you are doing.
Kiki: It’s worth it, I know it.
To be continued...
Sorry for the crappy photos of Sabrina and Ronan...they looked fine on my camera and then I downloaded them to my computer and realized how bad they are. Oh well, I didn't want to retake them. :P Anyway, now the new employee mystery of Kiki's has been revealed! ;)
I wanted to say something intelligent about yesterday's election but nothing is coming to mind that hasn't already been said. I had fun last night watching the election results, I always enjoy that. I also thought John McCain's concession speech was incredibly gracious. Barack Obama's speech was inspiring. It's hard not to feel inspired and positive when listening to him, whether you voted for him or not. Both speeches made me feel optimistic about the future (of course, I'm generally an optimistic person but the good speeches helps). :D
