Chapter 272: Struggles
*Sebastian is on his way home from “The Sweet Shoppe” and sees Crispin*
Sebastian: Crispin, you look terrible.
Crispin: Oh…hello, Sebastian.
Sebastian: What is wrong?
Crispin: It’s nothing.
Sebastian: You can tell me. Maybe I can help.
Crispin: Do you know Oki adopted a little pixie girl? Her name is Penelope.
Sebastian: Yes, I did hear about that…a very admirable thing to do.
Crispin: Yes…it is…
Sebastian: You do not think so?
Crispin: No, don’t get me wrong, I know Oki is doing the right thing. It just…changes everything.
Sebastian: She won’t forget about you.
Crispin: I hope not.
Sebastian: You feel left out?
Crispin: Maybe…a little.
Sebastian: You should get involved, get to know the child and help Oki. It could enrich your life.
Crispin: I just want Oki back.
Sebastian: You still have her but you need to make room for Penelope, too.
Crispin: I can try…
Sebastian: I think you will be happier if you do.
Elsewhere…
Oki: Wasn’t that fun?
*Penelope smiles and nods*
*They run into Paige*
Paige: Oki! It’s good to see you. How are things going?
Oki: Oh, it’s wonderful…I love Penelope so much. We just finished shopping for some toys because, well, I didn’t have any and she needed some.
Paige: How is Crispin with all of this?
Oki: *her smile fades* Oh…he’s…um…
Paige: Having a hard time?
Oki: Yes…he is. I don’t know what to do.
Paige: Oki, this is a big change for him, he probably just doesn’t know how to deal with it.
Oki: What should I do? I want him to be happy.
Paige: Give him a chance, that’s all.
Oki: I need to just be patient, I guess.
Paige: That, and it wouldn’t hurt to spend some time with him alone so he knows you haven’t forgotten about him…let him know you still love him.
Oki: Oh…good idea! Thanks, Paige. *smiles*

A little irony here...it's interesting that Paige is telling Oki to spend time with Crispin so he'll know she hasn't forgotten about him. Hmmm, could it be that Paige has learned from her past mistakes and wants to make sure Oki doesn't have the same problems? Also, I found it amusing that Sebastian is advising Crispin and Paige is advising Oki. They may no longer still be together but they are on a same side. :D
I took more photos of Shelby. The last set I posted were just experiments, but this time I did a real shoot with different poses, but still testing out and using some manual modes on my camera. I think the colors are neat and bright, but maybe a bit too vivid. Still, I'm pleased...more practice needed though. Anyway, enjoy the photos!
Shelby was my third Pullip and she's pretty much always been my favorite. I have more photos of her then any of my other dolls.
She's basking in the sun, one of her favorite pastimes. :P
