Chapter 277: Discomfort
Ivy: Thanks for spending some time with me, Sabrina. I’ve been feeling a little lonely.
Sabrina: That’s what friends are for, right?
Ivy: *smiles* Yeah.
Sabrina: Hey, there’s Felix…in those doofy glasses of his.
Ivy: They aren’t doofy…I like them.
Sabrina: You could go talk to him if you want…?
Ivy: Um…
Ivy: No…that’s okay.
Sabrina: Let’s just sit here then.
Ivy: Okay.
*Ronan enters*
Ronan: Hello, Sabrina. Mind if I join you?
Sabrina: You are always hanging around, aren’t you?
Ronan: Oh…er…well…I thought we were friends…
Sabrina: I’m teasing you, Ronan, stop taking me so seriously!
Ronan: Oh…right…I should know that by now.
Sabrina: Yes, you should.
Ronan: *addressing Ivy* Miss Ivy, it is nice to see you again.
Ivy: *smile* Thanks, Ronan.
Sabrina: Yes…ever-polite Ronan.
Ronan: What’s wrong with being polite?
Sabrina: Nothing…I’m teasing you again…
*Sabrina and Ronan continue talking as Ivy sneaks a peek over her shoulder at Felix…*
*Felix waves at Ivy*
*Ivy waves back*
Sabrina: Hey, Ivy…are you listening?
Ivy: Sorry, what?
Sabrina: Polite Ronan has just offered to take us both out for ice cream, do you want to come?
Ivy: Oh…um…
*Ivy looks at Felix again*
Sabrina: You can invite Felix to come along if you want.
Ivy: No…not this time…but I’d love to come if that’s okay.
Ronan: Absolutely. Shall we?
Ivy: Sure, let’s go.
Elsewhere…
Oki: The three of us are going to have some good fun today. What do you think, Penelope?
*Penelope smiles, Crispin is nervous but is determined to give it his best try*
*Grace enters*
Grace: Oki, I’m really sorry to interrupt you, but I need some help with Fifi.
Oki: Your dog…is she okay?
Grace: Well, I think she has a splinter in her paw. I can’t calm her down to get it out…you are so good with her I thought you could help.
Oki: No problem, take me to her.
Oki: Crispin, will you keep an eye on Penelope?
Crispin: Oh…er…
Oki: I won’t be gone long…you’ll be fine.
Crispin: Sure, you go.
*Oki leaves with Grace, Crispin and Penelope eye each other uneasily*

You see, I have not forgotten Ivy and Felix, I know many people will be happy to see them. Obviously, they are a work in progress. I'll admit, I still haven't made up my mind what exactly I'm going to do with them but I have a few ideas so we'll see where the story takes me. More with them soon, I promise. In the next chapter we will see how Crispin does with Penelope on his own...it could go either way. :P
PS--I actually brushed Ronan's wig really carefully the other day and I think he looks even better then he did before. ;)
I'm also buying Piper (my Lati yellow Byurl) some blue eyes today. Currently she has brown eyes that are really hard to photograph without them looking all black. They should get here within the next week. I hope they look good...and that I can get them in straight. :P
