Chapter 287: Opportunity Knocks
*Felix is hanging out, alone as usual, playing his guitar*
*Lucas approaches*
Lucas: Man, it’s about time!
Felix: Huh?
Lucas: There’s finally another guitar player around here.
Felix: *embarrassed* Oh…I’m really not that good…
Lucas: That’s not true, I was listening over there.
Felix: You were listening?
Lucas: I was walking by, I couldn’t help hearing you.
Felix: Wait…you look familiar…
Lucas: Do I? I don’t think we’ve met, but my name is Lucas…Lucas Drake.
Felix: I do know you! Well, not personally, but you used to be in that band Indigo Road…right?
Lucas: Well, yeah, but we broke up a while back.
Felix: It’s too bad, I really liked that band. Why didn’t you join another band?
Lucas: That was the plan man, but…things happen…I met a girl on my way and decided to put a new band on hold for a while.
Felix: Yeah…that happens.
Lucas: Hey, you and me, we should get together and jam.
Felix: I don’t know…
Lucas: I know good guitar playing when I hear it, I teach some guitar now and you’ve got some real talent.
Felix: You…you think so?
Lucas: Yeah! But the songs you were playing…they didn’t sound familiar…
Felix: *embarrassed again* Well…yeah…I wrote them.
Lucas: No way! I wish I could write music like that.
Felix: Really?
Lucas: Yeah! So, do you want to jam with me sometime or not?
Felix: Well…okay…sure.
Elsewhere…
*Kiki and Taryn are working together at “The Sweet Shoppe”*
Kiki: I have to tell you, Taryn…you are doing a wonderful job here.
Taryn: Thank you, I’m glad you think so. I really love this job!
*Kiki smiles*
Taryn: Um…Kiki? I was thinking…this purple wall in the store…maybe we could change it a little…make it brighter in here?
Kiki: Well, I’ve been thinking of changing this wall for a while, I just didn’t know what to do.
Taryn: I could help you with some ideas…if you want.
Taryn: I know it’s not really part of my job to do this, but I have an interest in design.
Kiki: Yes, I did notice on you resume that you did that. I admit I have been tempted to ask for your help, but I didn’t want to ask you to do too much…
Taryn: Oh, it’s not too much, I love doing design! I’d be more then happy to help if you want me to.
Kiki: I would love to hear your ideas, what do you have in mind?
Taryn: Well, I could do a few sketches if you want and then we could look at them together and see what might work best for you…?
Kiki: That sounds wonderful, Taryn! I’m excited about the possibilities now.
Taryn: Yes, me too! *smiles*

There are a lot of fur wigged people in this chapter. :P It was only a matter of time until Felix met Lucas since they have similar interests...Felix actually saw Lucas once but he was "busy" kissing Annike so Felix couldn't properly ID him at the time. Lucas is dying to play music with another person (he does miss being in a band) and since he couldn't convince Annike to let him teach her, he's thrilled to meet Felix. And yes, I am going to make some changes to the store, or sorry, Taryn is going to make changes to the store. ;) Just the wall, nothing fancy, we'll see that later.
I've been too busy lately to take many doll photos but I found a little time today to take some extra ones of a few of my boys. I don't know why but I felt like making them all black and white, take a look:

Here is poor Lucas...I say poor Lucas because I really hate the slim male Obitsu body he is on...hate it. If I could find a replacement Taeyang body I would fix him up in a second, but they are not easy to find (or maybe I'm not trying hard enough). Anyway, I can't say I'm a fan of the male Obitsu bodies... *sigh*
He's still handsome though. :D
Last up, Hawk...he looks really good in black and white.
I love this one in particular.
