Ah...Christmas Eve! Somehow I made it...I don't know how, but I did. :P I almost ran out of wrapping paper though, that would have just been a great cap on a very disorganized Christmas for me. I would say, "I'll do better next year," but I know that's a huge lie so never mind.

Chapter 292: Parallels
*Melodie approaches Zander*
Melodie: Zander! Hi, it’s me…Melodie!
Zander: *thinking to himself* Oh no, it’s her…
Melodie: I haven’t seen you in a while, how are you?
Zander: Fine.
Melodie: Do you mind if I stay with you for a while?
*Zander shrugs*
*Zander looks away, uninterested. Melodie senses his lack of enthusiasm*
Melodie: Um…Zander?
Zander: Yeah?
Melodie: Do you think I’m…odd?
*Now Zander feels even more uncomfortable*
Zander: I…er…I…no! I don’t think you’re odd!
Melodie: *sigh* Yes you do. I can tell.
Zander: But…
Melodie: It’s okay, Zander…maybe I am odd.
*Melodie walks away before Zander can think of something else to say*
Zander: Great…now I feel like a total ass…
Elsewhere…
Lucas: Okay, where are those songs I wanted to see?
Felix: *nervously* Er, well, I brought these…but I’m sort of still working on them…
Lucas: That’s okay, let me see.
*Felix tentatively shows Lucas some of the songs he has written*
*Felix watches as Lucas looks them over and plays a few chords on his own guitar*
Lucas: These are really good.
Felix: You think so?
Lucas: I know so, man! Hey…hey, I know a few people down at the studio who might be interested in seeing these. Mind if I let them take a look? They are always interested in buying.
Felix: They’re not good enough to sell…
Lucas: I think they are. Come on, you’ll never know if you don’t start showing them around. I think you could have a future doing this kind of thing…and I can help. I want to help.
Felix: Okay…okay you can take them.
Lucas: Why don’t you come with me? I know a few people you should meet.
*Felix nods*
Meanwhile…
*Taryn is showing Kiki her sketches for decorating “The Sweet Shoppe”*
Kiki: *smiles* These are really good…so much detail…
Taryn: Thank you.
Kiki: I think I like this one best.
Taryn: Oh…that’s my favorite, too, I think.
Taryn: It won’t be expensive, just a little paint really and moving around a few things you already have.
Kiki: Just tell me what colors and I’ll get the paint. Then we can make plans for when we’ll get it done.
Taryn: Sounds great, I can’t wait to get started.
Kiki: Me, too. Thanks, Taryn. *smiles*

Zander should feel like as ass...he does a good job being one. :P But yeah...Melodie is a little odd (I don't mean that in a mean sort of way, she's just different). And Taryn and Felix encouraged each other, now they are both getting a chance to do what they like to do best.
Check out Piper's new shoes! These are a little Christmas gift I got from herroyaldemones. Thank you so much Allison, Piper and I love them. :D
What's great is I got another gift today (after I did photos) from rytearik, who also sent me some wonderful things for my Lati including a dress that goes perfectly with Piper's new shoes! It was too dark to do more photos so I'll do those tomorrow. Thank you Amber, everything is so cute. <3
While there was still light...
Earlier this year I ran a contest over at HoP and gave away this Strawberry Picnic set of Re-ment (among other things) for prizes...but I thought it was so cute and really wanted a set for myself so I finally just bought one.
My daughter saw the picnic set and seriously fell in love with it. She had this great idea to set up the two yellow Latis (who she also loves, heh) having a picnic for a photo so she helped me with this photo. :P
Ivy is wearing this Re-ment outfit I got, I think she looks really cute in it. What's funny is this shirt and skirt come together and I don't think they really match...but at the same time I think they look cute together. Go figure. :P
Taryn is also wearing another Re-ment outfit I got, I more simple one in colors but I've wanted it for a while. She is also wearing a new necklace (one of many) I got in the Secret Santa swap at HoP and some new shoes that came in another Re-ment set I got.
Yes...I got a bunch of Re-ment, there's even more that isn't pictured...just a nifty tea set that will show up soon in a chapter of "House of Pullip" so keep an eye out for that (you'll know it when you see it, Kiki will be gushing over it, heh). Thanks for looking!

PS--Does anyone know around how much shipping for one doll from the white line at Lati would cost to ship from them? It was $54 to ship a yellow when I ordered last time...I'm assuming it's a bit less then that, but I don't know how much less. I got some unexpected Christmas money and was thinking if Lati is still taking orders just after the New Year I might order a white. If not, I'll just save it for Lati's next ordering period when *hopefully* they will have some tans to pick from. :P
