Here is my new chapter of "House of Pullip". :D
Chapter 325: Let's Face It
Jonas: I’m back!
Grace: Hi, Jonas.
Jonas: You look beautiful.
Grace: *smiles* Thank you.
Grace: I need to ask you something…
Jonas: Anything.
Grace: Where are we going…I mean, with our relationship?
Jonas: Do we have to go somewhere?
Grace: So we are going nowhere?
Jonas: That’s not what I said.
Grace: Do you ever think about getting married?
Jonas: Whoa…where is all this coming from, Grace?
Grace: It’s not new, it’s been on my mind for a while and it seems to me we’ve been together long enough that we can talk about the future. Can’t we?
Jonas: Okay.
Grace: But you aren’t interested in marriage, are you?
Jonas: It’s not something I aspire to, no.
*Grace looks away, obviously disappointed*
Jonas: I love you, does it matter?
Grace: Yes, it matters to me.
Jonas: Why?
Grace: I’ve been married before, you know that. It’s a good thing, I like being married. I’ve finally come to the point where I think I can marry again and be happy. I was hoping it would be with you. I want to have children, Jonas…that’s something I’ve always wanted. I’m not getting any younger. If you don’t want children that’s something I need to know now rather then later.
Jonas: I don’t know what to say…
Grace: You don’t want to get married…or have children…?
Jonas: I…don’t know.
Grace: *sigh*
Jonas: Please don’t leave me!
Grace: I’m not leaving…I love you…
Grace: …But let’s face it…if you and I want different things in the future, Jonas, I don’t see how it’s going to work out.
Jonas: …
Grace: *sniff*
*They embrace, but neither of them say anything more…for now…*
To be continued...
Sorry this one is a bit on the sad side, but that's life. As much as I'd like to keep all sweet and perfect...well, it's not especially realistic (heh, neither are pixies, fairies, and magic but never mind that now). Jonas and Grace did not break up, but they are definitely dangling on the edge unless one of them changes their mind. Jonas has no real reason to be against marriage except that he doesn't see the point of it and he doesn't want children because he values his independence too much. Also, I'm not trying to say either Grace or Jonas is right or wrong in what they want, I'm only trying to demonstrate it's easier for people to plan their futures together when their goals are similar.
On a side note, Grace's dress is a new acquisition I bought off Etsy. I posted photos on Flickr but I don't think I posted them here. Anyway, isn't it a gorgeous dress? I bought it just for Grace and it's beautiful and very well made. :D
Are you sick of Madeline yet? Well, I hope not because here are a few more photos of her:
She's trying out the blue bloomer outfit I have for my girls. Blue is a good color on her, but pink is better. :P
I love her expression here, plus the bunny just adds to the cute...heh.
Last one. Thanks for looking!
