It's a little late but I did get this next chapter of "House of Pullip" ready for today, please enjoy reading. :D
Chapter 359: Decision
Kiki: There now, that’s better.
Taryn: Thanks, Kiki…really. You’re an amazing friend…I know you must think I’m losing my mind or something.
Kiki: You know I don’t.
Taryn: I know, that’s what’s great about you. Oh…and Sebastian…he was wonderful. Please thank him for me when you see him. I’m so embarrassed I don’t think I can.
Kiki: You don’t need to be embarrassed about Sebastian…but I understand and I’ll tell him for you.
Taryn: Felix can never know about this…
Kiki: I think he needs to know how much you miss him.
Taryn: He knows, I just don’t want to…whine. I don’t want him to feel guilty. This isn’t his fault.
Kiki: He can’t stay in New York City forever. Just remember that.
Taryn: You don’t have to stay, Kiki. I’m really okay now, I can manage the store. You should go and spend time with Sebastian.
Kiki: No…I think I’ll stay with you today.
Taryn: That’s not necessary.
Kiki: I want to.
Taryn: Thank you.
*Kiki smiles*
Elsewhere…
Grace: Oki…I’ve been looking for you.
Oki: I thought you might be.
Grace: Uh…
Oki: Yes?
Grace: Well, about what you asked me earlier?
Oki: The preschool. Please tell me you’ve given it some thought.
Grace: I have…it’s all I can think about.
*Oki smiles*
Grace: The more I thought about it the more I wanted to try it. So I guess I’m saying yes, I would like to open a preschool with you.
Oki: Yay! This will be fun!
Grace: I hope so.
Oki: What convinced you to do it?
Grace: Being able to call the shots for once instead of following a “district approved lesson plan”.
Oki: Wow.
Grace: I want to have the chance to decide what to teach so I can challenge students who are ready to take that extra step and take my time with students who really need it.
Oki: You get the make the lesson plans. You will be our teacher and resident expert.
Grace: There is something very appealing about that…that and the chance to work with a smaller group of children so that I can work with more of them one-on-one.
Oki: You want to make a difference.
Grace: I’d like to try anyway. Plus what I really enjoy is tutoring and I think working with a preschool will allow more time for that on the side. Right now I can really only pick up private students during the summer months.
Oki: Preschool will only be a few hours a day, there will be plenty of time for other things.
Grace: I’m…excited about this.
Oki: So am I!
To be continued...
So it's not a terribly exciting chapter but, as you can tell, it leads into other things. And don't get the wrong idea that Taryn hasn't told Felix how she feels about him being gone. He does know and he's just as upset about it. She just doesn't want him to know she's crying over it. She doesn't want him to feel bad when he is working hard and trying to get home as soon as he can.
Here's the great news of the day: my husband took my lap top to work today so he could attempt to fix it...and it works! He rocks. :D Plus he cleaned up the inside while he had it all apart so it's clean and it's running really well. He plunked my hard drive back in it when he got home and here I am! Man, I love being married to an engineer. :P
Also, I apologize for my sorry lack of photos this week, it's just been really busy and the broken computer didn't help matters. I'm actually planning on taking some tomorrow so hopefully that will work out.
