Chapter 361: Guardian
Crispin: Sebastian! How are you? I haven’t really talked to you in a while…
Sebastian: We have both been busy, you with your family and I with Kiki.
Crispin: And how is Kiki?
*Sebastian sighs*
Crispin: That didn’t sound good. What’s the matter?
Sebastian: The same issue as usual.
Crispin: To bond or not to bond?
Sebastian: She is still very against it.
Crispin: And you?
Sebastian: My attachment to Kiki grows deeper every day. It seems…foolish…not to bond with her.
Crispin: Wow…that’s a tough one.
Sebastian: And I do not know what to do.
Crispin: I wish I could help, but it’s probably best if I stay out of it.
Sebastian: May I ask you something rather personal?
Crispin: Sure, Sebastian.
Sebastian: Are you bonded with Oki?
Crispin: Yes, we are bonded…we just didn’t make a big deal about it.
Sebastian: Oki is not immortal…
Crispin: As a pixie she can expect a very long life span, but no, she is not immortal.
Sebastian: And it was not an issue for her…or you?
Crispin: No, not really…we just went with it.
Crispin: *quickly adds* But I can see why Kiki find the concept difficult to deal with.
Sebastian: She does not like to talk about it.
Crispin: Did you try to explain to her that being immortal isn’t as great as it might sound?
Sebastian: Yes, but I do not think she believed me.
Crispin: I don’t know…just keep trying to be patient. Maybe you should think about settling on a regular marriage instead, I’m sure she would agree to that.
Sebastian: *sigh* It has always been my dream to find a lady to bond with. When Kiki dies, what I am supposed to do with my life? She expects me to just go on…but she does not understand how difficult that will be for me.
Sebastian: There is something I would like to do…would you be willing to assist me?
Crispin: Anything.
Sebastian: I need guidance. I wish to seek a vision of the future. Maybe I am overlooking something or not considering an important factor. I am hoping the vision will give me a few clues on how to proceed.
Crispin: That can be…disturbing. Are you sure you want to? What if you don’t see Kiki in your future?
Sebastian: I would rather know.
Crispin: If you’re sure then I’ll help. I’m assuming you want me to be your guardian while you are in your vision?
Sebastian: Yes, please.
Crispin: Then we should find a private location where you won’t be disturbed.
Sebastian: I know the perfect place.
Crispin: Lead the way…

This vision Sebastian is going to experience is like a magically induced dream. A guardian is used to watch the person having the vision so that they are kept safe and not interrupted, that's why Sebastian wanted Crispin's help. I know this chapter mostly just rehashes what is already known so it's not that interesting but the next chapter will show Sebastian's vision so that should be...informative. ;)
