Chapter 367: Homecoming

Madeline: Mommy, look at my new dress!
Taryn: Oh, how cute. Did Daddy buy that for you?
Madeline: Uh huh. And the shoes.
Taryn: You look very sweet…Daddy has good taste.

Taryn: *to Felix* You spoil her.
*Felix laughs*
Taryn: *to Madeline* Did you like New York City, honey?
Madeline: Yeah, they got tall buildings…but it’s too loud.
Taryn: *laughs* You sound like Daddy.

Felix: Well, it is loud…too many people. You know I like solitude…with the exception of you and Madeline.
Taryn: I’m so glad you’re both here.
Felix: I know you were lonely...didn’t Laszlo keep you company?
*Taryn shoots Felix a look*

Madeline: Uncle La-lo! Can I see him?
Taryn: Tomorrow, honey. I promise.
Madeline: Yay!

*Madeline jumps off the bed and runs around the room*
Felix: *whispers to Taryn* I’m sorry I brought up Laszlo…I thought with me being gone for a while it might help you two patch things up.
Taryn: I thought so, too…but, no. *sigh*
Felix: I’m sorry.

Taryn: Don’t you dare apologize; you’ve always done right by me no matter what Laszlo thinks.
Felix: But he’s your brother. I shouldn’t come between the two of you.
Taryn: You didn’t. Laszlo is the one choosing to continue holding a stupid grudge he should have given up years ago. I have no idea what he hopes to accomplish with it, but I’m losing my patience with him.

Taryn: But I do feel sorry for him…I think he’s lonely and a little jealous of us and what we have…even though he can’t come to grips with how we got here. I don’t think he thinks we deserve it.
Felix: Maybe when Ivy comes home…?
Taryn: Yeah, I’m thinking the same thing. But she’s been gone for so long…who knows if they’ll still feel the same way about each other.

Taryn: Blah, never mind that now, I don’t want to talk about it anymore. I’m just so glad to see you, that’s all I care about right now. Is that bad?
Felix: *smile* Not from my perspective.
Taryn: I was really lonely…
Felix: I missed you, too…more then I can say.

Taryn: I intend on enjoying you as much as I can while you are here…but Madeline should probably stay home when you go back so we can get her back in her normal routine.
Felix: Oh…that’s the rest of the surprise for you…I don’t have to go back!

Taryn: What?
Felix: I’m home for good.
Taryn: But…but…
Felix: My agent finally put his foot down on it. The band can’t make up their mind about anything and it was turning out to be a complete waste of time for me. Most of the time I wasn’t doing anything anyway, just wandering around the city with Madeline. We all finally agreed that I can work just as well from home…so here I am.

Taryn: *grasps Felix tightly* I’m so…so relieved.
Felix: So I am...all I wanted the whole time was to just come home.
Taryn: I know it. Thank you! I’m not sure I could stand it much longer.
Felix: It sucked, I’m not in a hurry to do that again.

*They look at Madeline lying on the floor*
Taryn: Is she okay?
Felix: I think she’s tired; it’s been a long day with traveling and all.
Taryn: I’ll put her to bed…I missed doing that…

To be continued...

So, yay, Felix is staying home now. Needless to say, Taryn is thrilled. ;) There's more hints about what Laszlo's problem is in this chapter, but I will be explaining all of that coming up soon. Taryn and Felix will be featured a tiny bit more in the next chapter.

Bonus photo of Penelope:

She's wearing a new outfit I bought for her and Petal to share.

In other news, I'm going to a doll meet this Saturday that I'm hoping will be really a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to it anyway. :D
