Chapter 369: The One I'd Choose
*Melodie joins Bo and Jonas*
Melodie: Hello, you two!
Bo and Jonas: Hi, Melodie.
Melodie: It’s nice to see you smiling, Jonas.
Jonas: You both must think I’m a complete grump.
Bo: Well…maybe…
Melodie: You could try harder to be happier…
Jonas: I see how it is.
Bo: We just want to see you happy because I…we care about you.
Melodie: You are our friend.
Jonas: As I was telling Bo just a while ago, I am trying…I promise.
Jonas: But…I’d better go before this abuse continues.
Melodie: We aren’t abusing you!
*Bo just laughs*
Jonas: See you both later.
Melodie: I told you he appreciated your help.
Bo: Yeah…
Melodie: Now if we could just get his mind off his ex.
Bo: That would be nice…
Melodie: I wonder what nice girl around her could cheer him up.
Bo: I can’t think of anyone who would really understand him.
Melodie: You do.
Bo: Only because I can hear his thoughts.
Melodie: That’s not what I meant…I mean, I think you have feelings for him.
Bo: What?!?
Melodie: It’s nothing to be embarrassed about.
Bo: I’m not embarrassed, you’re just wrong. You know perfectly well I can’t feel love…even if I wanted to.
Melodie: But I think you do want to.
Bo: I know better then to desire anyone. I almost fell into that trap with Nicholai, but I managed to avoid it then.
Melodie: Haven’t you ever wondered what it feels like to be in love?
Bo: All the time.
Melodie: Maybe you should try it out, just this once, and see what happens.
Bo: *smiles* It’s not that easy. I don’t think it would be fair to lead someone into thinking I can love them just to learn that I can’t.
Melodie: But Jonas…
Bo: I know…and I’ll admit…but you can’t tell anyone…ever…especially Jonas…but if I could love someone, he’s just the man I would choose.
Bo: But since that can’t ever be, I’m content to be his friend. I also know for a fact that he only thinks of me as a friend, unlike Nicholai who was foolish enough to fall in love with me knowing full well I could never return his feelings. My relationship with Jonas is just fine the way it is.
Bo: *sigh* So, that’s that. I just want you to know you have the sweetest mind I’ve ever had the pleasure of hearing. It’s…refreshing.
Melodie: I like seeing people happy.
Bo: *smile* I know…and I am happy, I assure you. But I’m tired…time for bed, I think. See you tomorrow.
*Bo leaves*
Melodie: She’s always helping other people; someone should help her for a change. Maybe I can…oh, but it will be hard…I’ll have to think about this carefully…and not let her see what I’m thinking. And Paige…she wouldn’t approve…no way…but Paige isn’t here… *she smiles slyly*

To a brief background refresher: Bo is a sprite in human form, she can't feel love. Melodie is a half-fairy with a very simple and child-like mind, so this concept is a little hard for her to grasp. To her is like, "How can you not feel love...you just...feel it!" I'm not sure she really understands, although she does seem to have an idea about what to do about it. Er...it may not be the best idea, but as she stated, there really isn't anyone around to stop her whether it is or not. :P
Also, I finally got around to making some Taeyang clothing for my Etsy store, take a look:
It's a black short sleeved turtleneck shirt made of stretch knit. The pants are tan corduroy. I quite like how it turned out and I have plans to make more boy stuff...I just need to get more corduroy. :P Anyway, I have this listed as a set at my store. :)
