I know, I'm getting behind on these chapters...but "House of Pullip" has an update today. Plus I also think I'll be able to get at least one (maybe two) chapters up this weekend. We'll see...for now, please enjoy this one. :D
Chapter 410: Ultimatum
Ronan: Miss Bo! I…I…need to talk to you. It’s important.
Bo: Okay Ronan.
Ronan: It’s about Reilly…I want to adopt her.
Bo: Oh, Ronan! I’m so glad you decided to go for it. She is very fond of you.
Ronan: I love her. I want to be there for her…always.
Bo: I’m so happy for you! But I have to ask…what does Sabrina think about all this?
*Ronan’s excitement fades*
Ronan: We talked about it…it did not go well…
Bo: Tell me about it.
Flashback to Ronan’s conversation with Sabrina…
Sabrina: I can’t believe you actually want to go through with this adoption. It’s…it’s…crazy!
Ronan: It isn’t crazy. It’s the right thing to do. And it’s what I want to do. Please, can’t you support me in this?
Sabrina: No. It’s a bad idea. You can’t do it.
Ronan: Can’t?
Sabrina: It comes down to this…you have to pick…it’s either her or me. And that’s that.
*Ronan is shocked*
Ronan: You’re giving me an ultimatum?
Sabrina: If that’s what you want to call it.
*Ronan is very upset*
Sabrina: Well?
Ronan: *whispers* I won’t leave Reilly alone. I couldn’t live with myself if I wasn’t there for her when I could have been.
Sabrina: Then you’ve made your choice!
*Ronan sighs heavily*
Back to the present…
Bo: Oh…Ronan…I’m so sorry.
Ronan: I won’t give up on Sabrina. I have to believe she will eventually change her mind. Until then…I have a job to do. I’m ready to do whatever it takes…for Reilly.
Bo: Alright. I know how hard this is for you, but I think you are making the right decision.
Ronan: You’re sure?
Bo: I’m sure. And I’ll help you with anything you need, I promise. You aren’t alone.
Ronan: Thank you, Bo. That means a lot to me.
Bo: I will talk to Reilly about this right away. I’m sure she’ll agree to it. Then I’ll get her all ready and bring her to you.
Ronan: Very well. Do you think I’ll be a good father?
Bo: I do. No one is perfect, expect to make mistakes. But everyone does. I think you will be just fine.

Yes, Sabrina is being completely unreasonable...and she didn't even try to get to know Reilly at all or see anything from Ronan's point of view. But remember she is horribly stubborn and highly reactive, she might yet change her mind. Ronan is willing to give her another chance if she wants one, and that's way more then she deserves right now, but that's love.
Make no mistake that Ronan's heart is broken over Sabrina's reaction to all of this. But he isn't willing to leave Reilly out in the cold (almost literally) just to appease Sabrina. Sabrina is a big girl who can take care of herself, Reilly needs someone.
Anyway, as you have probably already guessed, there is a lot more to this part of the story... ;)

Here is my new boy again, Another King. His wig still isn't here (I'm hoping next week sometime) but I did decide on a name. I'm calling him Gideon. :D I realized after I picked this name that HRD used to have a Hash named Gideon...hope you don't mind the name recycle, Allison. ;)
