Photo Story
I'm feeling mostly human again...still kind of blah, but way better then Saturday. And it was a really lovely day outside, the fresh air (which I needed) felt great, so I got this new chapter of "House of Pullip" done for today. I hope you enjoy it. :D
Chapter 437: Sisters-in-Law
Shelby: Phoebe? Hey, how are you?
Phoebe: *shrugs* Okay I guess.
Shelby: I know moving is hard. How is school anyway?
Phoebe: Actually, school is not as bad as I thought it would be.
Shelby: Have you made any friends?
Phoebe: A few.
Shelby: Well, that’s something.
Phoebe: I miss my parents.
Shelby: Of course you do!
Phoebe: But they sent me away…
Shelby: You know they did that for you…right?
Phoebe: I still feel rejected.
Shelby: Try not to look at it that way. They are just worried about you and want what’s best for you.
Phoebe: What’s best for me is to be with my mom and dad.
Shelby: And you will be as soon as they can improve their situation. I promise.
*Phoebe shrugs again*
Shelby: Until then Toby and I will do everything we can for you.
*Phoebe looks away*
Shelby: If there is anything you need, please don’t be afraid to ask.
Phoebe: I don’t mind asking you for stuff…but Toby…
Shelby: What about Toby?
Phoebe: I know he’s my brother, but I don’t really know him at all.
Shelby: Now is a good time to change that.
Phoebe: He doesn’t care.
Shelby: That’s not true! He does care; I swear I know he does. He’s very worried about you. I wouldn’t lie about this.
Phoebe: If he cares so much then why did he leave?
Shelby: What do you mean?
Phoebe: He moved out when I was just a kid. I didn’t see him much after that.
Shelby: I see.
Phoebe: Some brother.
Shelby: Well, Toby can’t help it that he is so much older then you.
Phoebe: What does that have to do with anything?
Shelby: A lot. When people grow up they tend to leave home. That’s just how it is. It doesn’t mean he doesn’t care.
Phoebe: I don’t know.
Shelby: I will tell you something…one of Toby biggest regrets is not knowing you as well as he would like.
Phoebe: Yeah?
Shelby: Yeah! In fact, when your parents asked if you could move in with us Toby was really excited to have this chance to connect with you.
*Phoebe looks away again*
Shelby: But you have to give him a chance.
Phoebe: I’ll try…I guess.
Shelby: Toby’s not perfect, but he really is a good guy. I should know.
Phoebe: What you’re saying is you wouldn’t have married him if he wasn’t.
Shelby: That’s right.
Phoebe: I always wanted a sister…I’m glad it’s you.
Shelby: Well, that’s a nice thing to say.
Shelby: Now, I have to pick up Eli…want to come?
Phoebe: Yes!
Shelby: Come on, he always likes seeing you.
*Phoebe smiles*

Most of this you probably could have figured out, I mean how Phoebe was feeling about Toby and everything else. She does like Shelby quite a bit though and trusts her so that might help bridge that gap. More soon. ;)
