Chapter 438: Not a Show Off
Gideon: Ivy? Um…hi.
Ivy: Oh, hi Gideon. Are you looking for Felix again?
Gideon: No, actually…I came to see you.
Ivy: Me?
Gideon: Yeah. I hope you don’t mind.
Ivy: *suddenly nervous* Uh…I guess not.
Gideon: I just wanted to talk to you about the last time I was here.
Ivy: Why?
Gideon: I wasn’t trying to show off.
Ivy: Show off? Oh…you mean the singing.
Gideon: Yeah. I was kind of embarrassed about it actually.
Ivy: I didn’t think you were showing off.
Gideon: Okay…good…
Ivy: Since you seem worried about what I did think I will tell you. I thought it was sweet you were making a little girl so happy.
Gideon: You…really thought that?
Ivy: Yeah.
Gideon: *smiles* Thanks.
Ivy: I know that all you meant by it…so it’s okay.
*Gideon nods*
Ivy: But why are you so worried about what I think?
Gideon: I always worry about what everyone thinks…I know I shouldn’t, but I do.
Ivy: You don’t have to explain…I worry about that, too. All the time…even when I know I shouldn’t.
Gideon: Exactly.
*This smile at each other*
Gideon: Uh…well…thanks, Ivy.
Ivy: Sure.
Gideon: I should go.
Ivy: Okay.
*Gideon starts to leave*
Gideon: Um…Ivy?
Ivy: Yes?
Gideon: Will you have dinner with me this weekend?
*Ivy blushes and is speechless*
Ivy: Oh…um…I don’t know…
Gideon: Sorry, I know that was kind of sudden.
Ivy: Yeah…
Gideon: It’s just…well, I think you’re nice and I’d like to get to know you better.
Ivy: Taryn put you up to this, didn’t she?
Gideon: Taryn? Oh...no! She didn’t put me up to anything, honest.
Ivy: You’re sure?
Gideon: I promise…although I’m sure she won’t be upset if we have dinner together.
*Ivy blushes again*
Gideon: Please? I’m really harmless.
Ivy: It’s not that…it’s just…oh…never mind. *sigh* Dinner sounds nice, thank you.
Gideon: You’re sure?
Ivy: Yes.
Gideon: I’ll meet you here on Saturday then…is 6:00 okay?
Ivy: *nods* I’ll be ready.
*Gideon leaves*
Ivy: He is nice…but I’m sure I’ll find a way to mess this up…as usual. *sigh*

Gideon is sensitive, he amuses me. :P But it's a cute kind of amusement. His intentions with Ivy really are just friendly right now. He feels like she understands him and he really does just want to get to know her better, but Ivy is wary because of her past experiences. She thinks Gideon is really nice but is worried if she goes out with him that it will end badly like it has before. Anyway, more soon...of course. ;)
