Chapter 443: The Gift
Felix: Kiki gave the store to you? Just like that?
*Taryn nods*
Felix: Why?
Taryn: She’s leaving. In fact, she and Sebastian are probably already gone…
Taryn: You know Sebastian is a prince, right?
Felix: Yeah, I remember you telling me that.
Taryn: Well, he was called home. Some kind of family emergency…I think his parents are extremely sick. He was needed to actually rule his kingdom.
Taryn: He didn’t want to go home; he’s not on the best terms with his parents. I don’t know the whole story, but in this case he decided he couldn’t turn his back on them.
Felix: Wow. But maybe they’ll come back?
Taryn: *shaking her head* Kiki made it sound like their move would be permanent.
Taryn: She gave me the store…just like that. She said it was a gift out of friendship.
Felix: That’s amazing.
Taryn: I don’t care about the store; I can’t believe Kiki is leaving! *sob*
*Felix embraces Taryn*
Felix: I’m sorry…
Taryn: She’s my best friend. I mean besides you.
Felix: I know.
Taryn: And owning a store…that’s a huge responsibility! I never planned for anything like this to happen. I don’t know if I’m up to it.
Felix: Sure you are.
Taryn: You think so?
Felix: I’ve always believed you can do anything you want.
Taryn: *smiles a little* Thank you.
Felix: And I’ll help you. You aren’t alone.
Taryn: I know. I appreciate everything you do for me.
Taryn: And I have been thinking…about how to manage the store.
Felix: Kiki taught you well.
Taryn: I’d like to think so. I need to talk to Toby and see if he would be willing to work for me permanently as the baker. And then if Avery would want to take on more hours…and possibly hire someone else…
Felix: Sounds to me like you’ve got an idea about what needs to be done.
Taryn: But I’m going to be busy, especially for the next month or so. There’s a lot of paperwork I need to familiarize myself with and all that. You won’t mind, will you?
Felix: No, I understand. This is a great opportunity for you…for us.
Taryn: I’m just blown away right now. And in shock. And sad…
Felix: It’ll be okay, you’ve always been strong.
Taryn: Thanks, Felix.
*Felix smiles*

So...yeah...this explains why Kiki and Sebastian are no longer in the story. Taryn now owns "The Sweet Shoppe" and she's going to run things. I have a few plans... ;)
I sold Kiki a while back but I actually still have Sebastian. If anyone is interested in a Cavalie for $65 just let me know. :P If he doesn't sell I'm toying with the idea of rewigging him, giving him new eyechips and a new name, and basically making a new character out of him. But I don't know...still, it would even out the number of guys and girls I have if I did that. XD And Cavalie does have a nice face up. I loved Sebastian's character, but he was a bit limited. It might be nice to change a few things and do something new with him...we'll see...no rush.
