I think I'm getting better...but it's slow and annoying. I did go to the doctor and am now taking antibiotics, but that's almost worse then just being sick (stupid side effects). I have a terrible headache now, this whole illness is just being very unfriendly. Anyway, I did get the next chapter of "House of Pullip" so I wanted to post that before going to bed.
Just a note before continuing...not that anyone noticed, I don't think, but in chapter 13 I found an error: Grace tells Crispin she never met Oki, but when I was reading through some of my older stories I found that they have actually met (oops). Anyway, I'm going to fix that in chapter 13 and then that part of the story continues in this new chapter correctly.
Anyway, enjoy :D
Chapter 17:
Crispin: Oki, you remember Grace, right?
Grace: Nice to see you again.
Oki: Hi! You know, you are very pretty.
Grace: *blush* Thank you.
Oki: *gasp* Crispin, I didn’t know you had a puppy!
Crispin: Well, I didn’t. Grace just gave him to me.
Oki: How cute! *dotes on the dog*
Oki: These are my pets… *points to the chicks and ladybug at her feet*
Grace: How sweet! I have a dog, too. Her name is Fifi, but she is taking a nap right now.
Oki: I’d love to see her someday.
Grace: Sure. *smiles*
*Oki sits down to play with all of the animals*
Grace (quietly to Crispin): Oki is so sweet, Crispin. She’s your girlfriend, right?
Crispin: Yes.
Grace: You are very lucky.
Crispin: I know. *smiles*
Elsewhere…
Shelby: Madison, what did you expect Alex to do? I don’t know what you are so upset about? I warned you this would happen!
Madison: I know, I just thought he’d wait longer.
Shelby: You didn’t tell me you gave him your necklace. That probably made him think the time was right. This isn’t Alex’s fault. Poor guy…
Madison: I thought you would understand.
Shelby: I don’t. I thought you liked him just like he thought you liked him.
Madison: But…
Shelby: You have to admit you’ve been sending mixed messages.
Madison: I have not.
Shelby: So, you do like him then?
Madison: I…don’t know how I feel.
Shelby: I don’t know how to help you.
Madison: Never mind, I don’t want to talk about it anymore.
Shelby: But…
Madison: I’ve got to go.
Shelby: Don’t be mad.
Madison: I’m not mad; I just don’t want to talk about it anymore.
*Madison walks off without saying goodbye*
Shelby: I’m so confused…my head hurts.
To be continued...
