Please enjoy this next chapter of "House of Pullip". It is a bit wordy and lacks any action, but it does contain a lot of information about why Hawk is following Sabrina and more about Sabrina's recent meanness...I hope you find it at least a little interesting :D
Chapter 19:
*Madison is sitting alone*
Madison: *muttering* No one understands…
*Hawk enters*
Hawk: Sorry to bother you, Madison…
Madison: You aren’t bothering me. Have a seat.
*Hawk sits*
Hawk: I know you’re upset about…something. But I wanted to ask you about Sabrina.
Madison: I’d welcome the diversion. What do you want to know about her?
Hawk: Well, as you may know, I’ve been following her around to try and keep her out of trouble…
Madison: I have been wondering about that.
Hawk: *laughs* I know I seem obsessed, but I promise I’m not. It’s just the first person I met here was Oki…
Madison: Crispin’s sweet girlfriend?
Hawk: Yes. I met her and she was kind to me. I saw Sabrina being not so kind to Oki and I’m only trying to keep her from doing something mean to Oki. To be honest, I don’t really understand why she doesn’t like Oki.
Madison: I can help you there, although Sabrina would kill me if she knew I was telling you.
Hawk: Go on. If she ever asks I’ll deny you told me anything.
Madison: *laughs* Thanks. Anyway, Sabrina has had a terrible crush on Crispin for as long as I can remember.
Hawk: Say no more…I get it now. She's jealous.
Madison: I’m afraid so.
Hawk: Sabrina is trying to sabotage Oki and Crispin’s relationship…it makes sense now.
Madison: Sabrina is very intelligent. Yet for all her intelligence, she can be incredibly stupid. She should have given up on Crispin years ago. He likes her, respects her, but has never returned her feelings. And I don’t blame him; they aren’t suited for each other at all. Crispin is a nice guy, but he could never handle her.
Hawk: You and Sabrina are close?
Madison: Very close, almost like sisters. We were raised together.
Hawk: Please tell me I haven’t seen her at her best yet.
Madison: Hardly. Don’t judge her yet. She’s capable of much more than I’m sure you’ve seen…she just doesn’t practice compassion as often as she should.
Hawk: Do you know where I can find her?
Madison: I can’t help you there. She’s probably closer to me than anyone, but even I don’t know all of her secrets.
Hawk: Darn. I don’t want her to do anything to Oki.
Madison: You seem like a sharp guy. I’m sure you’ll think of something.
Hawk: Thanks. And what about you?
Madison: What about me?
Hawk: Is there anything I can do to help you with whatever is bothering you?
Madison: You are very kind, but I need to figure my problem out for myself.
Hawk: *eyes Madison knowingly* It has to do with a guy, doesn’t it?
Madison: *blush* What makes you say that?
Hawk: Come on, I wasn’t born yesterday. I’m a guy, I could help you with guy problems…I know how stupid we can be.
Madison: *laughs* Thanks…I’ll think about it. For now you should just worry about Sabrina.
Hawk: Well…okay. But if you ever want anyone to talk to, I’m available.
Madison: Thank you, I appreciate that. *smile*
