Photo Story
I've been fiddling with this chapter for a while when it came to me this morning (don't you love inspiration?) and I knew just how this one should be written. I'm very pleased with it and I hope you enjoy it, too. So...here is the newest chapter of "House of Pullip" :D
Chapter 62:
Hawk: So, what did you think?
Shiloh: It was terrifying! But exhilarating, too. I don’t know how to describe it…but wow!
Hawk: *laughs* You liked it.
Shiloh: I did. My heart is still racing a million miles a minute.
Hawk: Maybe we can go again sometime?
Shiloh: Oh yes, I’d-
*Lucas enters*
Lucas: Hey Hawk, guess what?
Hawk: *slightly annoyed* What is it, Lucas?
Lucas: I have an audition for a new band, man!
Hawk: Oh…good.
Lucas: Aren’t you going to wish me luck?
Hawk: Sure…good luck with that.
*Lucas finally notices Shiloh hiding shyly behind Hawk*
Lucas: Oh…who’s this?
Hawk: Lucas, this is my friends Shiloh.
Lucas: Hey, babe. *wink*
Shiloh: *shyly* Hi.
Shiloh: Um, Hawk? I’d better go…
Hawk: No, please don’t leave yet!
Shiloh: It’s okay, I see Roxanne over there and I want to go talk to her. I’ll see you later, okay?
Hawk: Definitely.
Shiloh: Oh…and here’s your goggles back.
*Shiloh hands the goggles to Hawk and walks away. Hawk watches her, Lucas watches Hawk with interest*
Lucas: *whispers* She’s really not your type, man.
Hawk: *puts his goggles on* Huh?
Lucas: Come on, man. She’s cute but she looks too sweet and innocent for you.
Hawk: She is sweet and innocent, what’s your point?
Lucas: Well, she’s not what you usually go for. Your type is more like blond bimbos with big-
Hawk: It is not! I mean…not anymore anyway…
*Lucas stares at Hawk for a minute*
Lucas: I get it now. You are doing the “reformed man” act? Nice one, you almost had me fooled.
Hawk: *becoming angry* It’s not an act!
Lucas: What is with you, man?
Hawk: I’m trying to change, is that okay with you? I was doing just fine until you showed up.
Hawk: And Shiloh might be sweet and innocent, but she’s a lot of fun to be with. You know she just went skydiving with me? Even you wouldn’t go when I asked you, remember?
Shiloh: She went skydiving with you? No way!
Hawk: Yes way. Besides, you’re getting the wrong idea about me and her anyway. She’s just my friend, nothing more.
Lucas: I’m not blind; I saw how you looked at her.
Hawk: Drop it, please.
Lucas: You don’t really stand a chance anyway, you know. No sweet girl like that is going to waste her time on a guy with a past like yours.
Hawk: …
Lucas: Well, I gotta run. I need to pack my stuff. See ya!
Hawk: *mumbles* Bye.
*Lucas leaves, Hawk looks toward Shiloh and Roxanne, thinking hard*
