Ugh...it's been a long day, I'm just glad I'm at home and in my pajamas now :P I did also manage to get this next photo story chapter done for my epic (ha) "House of Pullip". The sun was quickly setting so a few of the photos turned out really crappy, sorry about that. Plus, this chapter is a bit clunky and I'm not completely happy with it, but it's the best I can do as a bridge into the next events I have planned. Tiredness really saps creativity, oh well. I also didn't have time to get any extra photos that I really wanted to do, I just ran out of time. I'll get those later, for now I hope you like this new chapter :D
Chapter 73:
*Hawk and Shiloh are parting for the day, they wave goodbye to each other*
*As Hawk walks away, he runs into Lucas*
Lucas: I saw that! Didn’t I tell you before you have no chance with a girl like that?
Hawk: Oh…it’s you. I didn’t know you were back.
Lucas: I just got here.
Hawk: And when are you leaving again?
Lucas: Is that anyway to talk to your friend?
Hawk: You’re not much of a friend.
Lucas: What’s that supposed to mean?
Hawk: You are trying to talk me out of a friendship with Shiloh. I happen to value that friendship a lot…but I guess you wouldn’t understand something like that.
Hawk: And you keep reminding me about my past. I’m trying to forget about all that. I came here to make a fresh start so stop bringing it up or just go away; I don’t need the constant reminder.
Lucas: Alright…so you’ve changed. I respect that, man. I won’t bring it up again.
Hawk: Thank you.
Lucas: In fact, you are the perfect person to help me.
Hawk: *sigh* With what?
Lucas: I want Nika to go out with me, but she won’t. She doesn’t…trust me entirely…
Hawk: *laughs* Can you blame her?
Lucas: Come on, Hawk…what do I do?
Hawk: I don’t know…just don’t do anything dumb, that’s probably the best chance you have.
Lucas: *sarcastic* Oh, you’re a big help.
Elsewhere…
Paige: The simplest form of fairy magic is learning how to talk to butterflies.
Melodie: Oh…mother never taught me this!
Paige: That’s because mother started out with stuff that was too hard and expected you to master it right from the start.
Melodie: Don’t be hard on mother now.
Paige: Now, take this butterfly. Sebastian learned with her so she’s good one to work with.
Melodie: Oh, she’s pretty.
*Paige demonstrates how to hold the butterfly and invoke the magic to communicate, Melodie listens carefully*
Paige: Now, you try.
Melodie: *suddenly nervous* Oh…okay.
*Melodie tries as hard as she can, desperately wanting to be able to do it right*
*There is a popping noise and Melodie’s butterfly vanishes*
Melodie: *gasp*
Paige: What did you do?
Melodie: I don’t know, she just vanished.
Paige: It’s okay, just call her back.
Melodie: How?
Paige: Just say her name, it’s Pixie.
Melodie: *calls* Pixie, come back!
*There is another popping noise and the butterfly reappears*
Melodie: I did it!
Paige: *smiles* That’s very good. Now let’s keep practicing.
To be continued...
