Chapter 105: To Business

*Oki is checking up on Lucas’s progress with Annike*
Oki: So, Lukie, did you do what I told you to do?
Lucas: Mostly…
Oki: There were three things; you didn’t do all of them?

Lucas: Well…I told Sabrina to stay away from me. That seems to be working so far.
Oki: That’s one thing. What else?
Lucas: I apologized to Nika…or I tried. She wouldn’t really look at me or anything, but I did my best.
Oki: That’s all you can do, she must still be mad. But you did it, that’s good. Now…what about that last thing?

Lucas: Er…well…
Oki: Lukie!
Lucas: Okay…I will…it’s just…really hard.
Oki: I know, but if you really want her back then you have to. If you don’t really mean it, then you might as well just call off the whole thing.
Lucas: No, I do mean it! I want her back…or at least for her to start talking to me again.

Oki: Just remember, I never promised any of this would work…
Lucas: I know…but I have to make it better.
Oki: She might not forgive you.
Lucas: Yeah…but if I don’t try I won’t forgive myself.
Oki: Okay then…you know what you have to do then…

Elsewhere…

Paige: Are you ready for your next lesson?
Melodie: Yes! But…where are the butterflies…?
Paige: We don’t need them.
Melodie: Oh… *sad*

Paige: Now, now…don’t be sad! I just have a new idea for you.
Melodie: Are you sure? Maybe I should finish learning this first…
Paige: No, we need to find the right magic for you. I don’t think talking to butterflies is right…I have a new idea for you…to fit your special talents.

Melodie: *intrigued* What are you going to teach me?
Paige: How to be a fairy godmother.
Melodie: Oh! No…that’s too hard for me! Mother always said…
Paige: Mother tried to teach you her magic. I made the same mistake and tried to teach you my magic. We need to find what your magic is…I think this is it.

Melodie: *still unsure* I don’t know…
Paige: This is a very special job, one of the most wonderful jobs for any fairy. You don’t need advanced magic to do it; you only need love in your heart, kindness, and attentiveness to the person you are giving your fairy blessing to. This sounds so perfect for you; I just can’t believe I didn’t think of it years ago!

Melodie: *smiles* You really think I can do it? Oh! It would be so wonderful to be a fairy godmother!
Paige: I do think you can. So…what do you say? Should we get to work?
Melodie: *nods* Yes!

Meanwhile…

*Shiloh and Hawk are hanging out together, planning a camping trip*
Shiloh: Should we go this weekend?
Hawk: Yeah, do you want to?
Shiloh: Yes, it will give me something special to look forward to!
Hawk: Okay…

Shiloh: Is something wrong? You seem a little quiet.
Hawk: I’m fine, don’t worry about me. It’s just…
Shiloh: *worried* What?
Hawk: Don’t…don’t let anyone drive you away from me.

Shiloh: What are you talking about? No one is going to drive me away!
Hawk: *sigh* I know…it’s just…it’s nothing. Forget I mentioned it…
Shiloh: I have to leave for work soon. But-
Hawk: I’ll walk you out, come on…

To be continued...

Yes...Oki called Lucas "Lukie"...it just seemed like something she would say :P

Also, Miss Hello Kitty Kiki revisited:

Poor Kiki, I love her but I haven't really loved her since she got her. It was the hair...I really just hate her stock hair! Even when I tried to fix it, it just didn't help as much as I hoped. But now...isn't she lovely? The love has been rekindled!

Here is a full length photo so you can see the whole wig. It's a cancan wig I bought from Develsaa. It's very close in color to her original wig, but it's much prettier! I think she looks a little older, a little more mature, and more serious like this.

I pulled the hair back here for slightly different look. Hello Kitty has very strong eyebrows...I think this wig goes with her eyebrows better than her stock wig does. Anyway, I'm so happy with it and I love Kiki more now! Plus...I wasn't going to put her in my photo story but now I think I will, I thought of a way she might fit in. It would be a small part, but might have the potential to become a larger part of the story, too :D This is good news because I always bond better with my dolls when I put them in my story.

Thanks for looking! :D
