Chapter 139: Let's Do This Again
*Rayna and Nicholai have just finished practicing*
Rayna: I haven’t worked that hard in a long time.
Nicholai: I’m exhausted.
Rayna: I’ll admit, I wasn’t sure about you and your staff taking on me and my sword, but it worked out really well. You are very skilled.
Nicholai: Thank you…and while we are making confessions, I’ll admit I wasn’t sure you were any good…no offense, but you don’t look like you’d be much of a match in a physical confrontation but I was dead wrong.
Rayna: What you are saying is I look small, scrawny, and not very threatening?
Nicholai: Well…yes…but I was trying to be tactful.
Rayna: *smile* Looks can be deceiving.
Nicholai: No kidding. You are fast, and probably deadly if you wanted to be. I pity any man who thought he could easily take advantage of you.
Rayna: *smiles with pleasure at the compliments on her skill*
Nicholai: You seem much happier now.
Rayna: You mean from earlier?
Nicholai: Yeah.
Rayna: Well, sword practice always clears my mind. What I was mad about doesn’t seem like such a big deal now.
Nicholai: So what was bothering you?
Rayna: *shrugs* Some dumb guy.
Nicholai: *laughs* Say no more.
Rayna: So…I mean…I’d like to do this again…if you want.
Nicholai: Sure.
Rayna: Are you staying around here for long?
Nicholai: I’ll stay as long as Bo does.
Rayna: Why?
Nicholai: She is my teacher. I go where she goes.
Rayna: Oh.
Nicholai: We can do this again tomorrow if you want.
Rayna: That sounds good to me.
Nicholai: Don’t you have anyone else to practice with?
Rayna: Oh…no…not anymore. I mean, I had a practice partner, but I don’t want to practice with him anymore.
Nicholai: Is he this “dumb guy” you were referring to earlier?
Rayna: No…he…um…well…I don’t want to talk about it.
Nicholai: That’s okay. I need to go find Bo anyway.
Rayna: I’ll see you tomorrow then.
Nicholai: I look forward to it. Until then…
Rayna: Bye.

It's short...but I hope it's not boring. Nicholai is very interested in Sebastian and Rayna is just as interested in Bo. They are trying to get information without being too nosy. :P Nicholai actually knows more about Sebastian then he is letting on. He saw more of Rayna's last conversation with Sebastian then she is aware of, Rayna just still doesn't know that.
Rayna's new Obitsu has been ordered and it was shipped yesterday (along with Oki's new body and the set of optional Obitsu hands). Rayna's new sword also shipped, I hope it works better then the sword she currently uses. I would like to take more photos of her sword fighting, it just doesn't work well with her type 3 body and the bulky sword she has...I hope this works out better, I'm pretty excited about working on it. :D
