Chapter 157: Unexpected
Zander: I don’t like it here.
Grace: Why not?
Zander: Nobody likes me.
Grace: That’s nonsense…I like you.
Zander: You know what I mean…none of the girls here are any fun.
Grace: Hmmm…you mean because they won’t make out with you on the first date? Or because they don’t respond to your pick up lines?
Zander: …
Grace: Zander, the house isn’t that big…things get around you know…and I’ve been hearing some…interesting things about your escapades.
Zander: They aren’t escapades; I’m just trying to have a little fun.
Grace: Well, I don’t feel sorry for you. Maybe if you learned to behave yourself a little better you might like it here more…at least people-girls-would like you more.
Zander: *groan*
Grace: Just a suggestion.
Elsewhere…
*Paige and Sebastian are finally spending some quality time together*
Sebastian: Thank you for spending the day with me. I really have missed you.
Paige: I missed you, too. This has been nice and very relaxing.
Sebastian: …
Paige: …
Paige: Penny for your thoughts?
Sebastian: Hmmm?
Paige: Tell me what you are thinking.
Sebastian: Are you sure Rayna said she would talk to me again?
Paige: You are still worried about Rayna?
Sebastian: Sorry…
Paige: No, don’t be. But yes, I assure you, that is what she said. I know you miss her but give the poor girl some time.
Sebastian: Yes. Yes, you are right. I will try not to worry myself over this any further.
Paige: *smiles* Good.
*They embrace, but Paige is…thinking about something…*
Meanwhile…
Rayna: It’s been fun to do something together besides practice.
Nicholai: Thanks for showing me the garden.
Rayna: No problem, I thought you might like it.
Nicholai: Tell me more about the things you learned when you were a pirate.
Rayna: Well, I learned sword fighting, of course. And then you know about the herbs. I learned how to cook from scratch. I can swab a deck pretty well…
Nicholai: *laughs*
Rayna: No, it was just a lot of hard work. To me it was so normal where here it sounds much more exotic then it really is. But I did like the sword fighting…and astronomy.
Nicholai: For navigation?
Rayna: I never had to steer a ship, for me it was just for fun. But I like looking at the stars. It’s very peaceful.
Nicholai: Yeah…
Rayna: Well…I hate to go, but I need to get to work soon.
Nicholai: Don’t let me keep you.
Rayna: See you later!
Nicholai: Bye…
*Rayna starts to walk away*
Nicholai: Hey…Rayna?
Rayna: Yes?
Nicholai: I was wondering…I mean I was thinking…um…would you…would you…
Rayna: What is it?
Nicholai: Would you… *sigh* Would you be willing to teach me how to use a sword the next time we practice? I could show you how to use my staff if you want.
Rayna: Oh…yeah, sure. That sounds fun.
Nicholai: Great. I’ll…uh…see you later then.
Rayna: Bye!

I really have nothing to say about this chapter...you'll just have to make of it what you can. :P
Remember, I took these photos with my husband's camera...it doesn't seem to like the faces of my pale dolls very much. But this is the last chapter I used his camera for, the next chapter will be photographed with my new camera. :D
