I've been pretty busy all day, but since this chapter was the last one I had prepared in advance before I went on vacation it was easy enough to post up. Anyway, enjoy the continuing saga of "House of Pullip". :D
Chapter 169: If You Insist
Nicholai: You summoned me to talk? What for?
Bo: Why did you leave? I thought you liked it here?
Nicholai: It was just easier. Can I go back now?
Bo: No!
Bo: I summoned you for that friend of yours…the girl I thought meant so much to you.
Nicholai: Rayna…
Bo: Yes. She’s the one who really wants to know where you went.
Nicholai: She ought to know why I left…she broke my heart.
Bo: Broke your heart? That doesn’t make sense; she’s the one who looks like her heart is broken.
Nicholai: …
Bo: Did you talk to her before you left?
Nicholai: No, it was easier to just go…for her and me both.
Bo: Ah…so you left without explaining first…because you just assumed she’d know your reasons.
Nicholai: Yes.
*Bo smacks Nicholai’s head*
Nicholai: Hey!
Nicholai: *rubs head* What did you do that for? It hurt…
Bo: You idiot! All those years I spent teaching you? Of all people I would think you would know better than that! You are the worst student I’ve ever had.
Nicholai: That’s going a little far, don’t you think?
Bo: Without communication you accomplish nothing, don’t you know that by now?
Nicholai: …
Bo: Well?
Nicholai: Yes…but it’s hard to talk about these things.
Bo: Too bad. You’re upset, she’s upset…you need to talk about it! I don’t care how uncomfortable it is.
Nicholai: *sigh* If you insist.
Bo: No…not because I insist…do it because it’s the right thing to do.
Nicholai: Okay…okay…I know I should have talked to her before I left. I’ll remedy that now and then can I leave?
Bo: You can leave if it’s the right thing to do.
Nicholai: It will be. I already know that.
Bo: You don’t know that, how can you until you talk to her? Now go…she’s waiting for you…
*Nicholai reluctantly leaves to find Rayna*
Bo: *mutters* Men…
To be continued...
Bo and Oki should go into the matchmaking/love business together... :P
A few more amigurumi things:
I made this little mug on the drive home from vacation because my eleven-year-old son saw a picture of it in one of my books and requested it.
This was a bit of an experiment, it's the first one I made from scratch with no pattern so it's a complete original. The yarn looks white, but it's really a pale yellow...next time I need to use a brighter yellow and perhaps do the wings in a different color. However, for my first try at a from-scratch project I'm pretty pleased. :)
I also partially started another project on the drive home that's not done yet but hopefully I'll have time to get it done sometime this week.
