Chapter 170: Wrong Conclusion
*Rayna is waiting as patiently as she can for Nicholai to show up*
*Nicholai approaches*
Rayna: Nicholai!
Rayna: I’ve been looking everywhere for you…where did you go?
Nicholai: …
Rayna: Why did you leave? I asked you to wait for me…
Nicholai: *pushes her back* Please…don’t.
Rayna: What’s the matter? I thought…I…thought…
Nicholai: You know why I left.
Rayna: No, I don’t.
Nicholai: I saw you with him. I’m not stupid; I know who you are going to choose. I…had to leave…to get out of the way…
Rayna: *sits* So…when Sebastian came you thought I was choosing him over you?
Nicholai: Of course. Why wouldn’t you? You touched his face…he looked like he wanted to kiss you…I couldn’t watch so I left.
Rayna: I see…so you think I’d lead you on and make you believe I might feel something for you and then run off on you the first chance I get? Is that really what you think of me?
Nicholai: …
Rayna: Well?
Nicholai: I messed up, didn’t I?
Rayna: You could say that.
Nicholai: *groan*
Rayna: How could you, Nicholai? How could you just leave like that? I thought we could talk about anything?
Nicholai: I’m…sorry…
Rayna: I could have had him…all I had to do was take him. He was…right there…so close…but honestly, all I could think of was you.
Nicholai: *gulp*
Rayna: And I was so peaceful and happy…knowing I’d made the right choice. I couldn’t wait to tell you…but…
Nicholai: I know…don’t say it. I jumped to conclusions too soon and left you there…I'm an idiot.
Rayna: …
*Nicholai tries to reach out and touch Rayna*
Rayna: *jumps up* Don’t touch me…just leave me alone…I want to be alone.
Nicholai: But we need to talk about this!
Rayna: Not now, I’m too angry.
*Rayna starts to walk away, Nicholai tries to stop her*
Nicholai: Don’t leave me now…please!
Rayna: I’m warning you, Nicholai…let me go…or else…
Nicholai: Or else what?
*WHAM*

Poor Nicholai...he's going to have quite the headache... :P But maybe he deserves it? More in the next chapter. :D
It's a good thing I took the photos for this chapter yesterday...because I feel like total crap today. All I want to do now that I've got the kids off to school is crawl back in bed so that's what I'm going to do. I was planning on taking some miscellaneous photos of my dolls today to post but it isn't going to happen. I don't know if it's allergies or what (and the pollen is really high right now, spring is in full bloom here) but I have a nasty head cold and all these icky aches and pains. Blah. So, I'm going back to bed...more photos later when I feel better.
