Chapter 175: On Big Adventure
*Hawk has just suddenly “popped the question”, Shiloh is shocked*
Shiloh: *stammers* Hawk…I…I…
Hawk: I’m sorry; I didn’t mean to just blurt it out like that. But you know me, when I want to say something I just say it. I want you to know that I’m perfectly serious though, I love you and I really want to marry you.
Shiloh: You never fail to catch me off guard. Just when I think I know what’s going to happen, you know just how to surprise me. Our life together is going to one big adventure I think.
Hawk: Our life together? Does this mean…
Shiloh: Yes…I’m saying yes.
Hawk: Really? You…you want to me marry me? Are you sure?
Shiloh: *laughs* Yes, I’m sure! I love you and this is what I want.
Hawk: *smiles* Thank you…you…you’ve made me so happy!
Hawk: We should tell our friends.
Shiloh: Oh…about that…let’s, um, keep it a secret for a little while.
Hawk: Why?
Shiloh: Well, Roxanne and Wolfgang have been planning their wedding for months now. I feel…awkward…intruding on their excitement.
Hawk: Hmmm…I had not thought of that. Maybe you have a point. I guess we can keep it a secret for a while if you want.
Shiloh: I think that’s best…for now.
Hawk: Can I at least tell my parents? They love you and I know they will be thrilled.
Shiloh: Of course! We shouldn’t keep them in the dark.
Hawk: Come on!
Shiloh: Where are we going?
Hawk: To call my parents! And then we are going shopping.
Shiloh: Shopping?
Hawk: I need to get you a ring…I should have done that already, but I didn’t exactly know I was going to ask you so quickly.
Shiloh: *blush* Oh…Hawk…I don’t need a ring…
Hawk: Yes, you do. I insist.
Shiloh: *smiles* Okay.
Hawk: But first…
Shiloh: What?
*Hawk pulls Shiloh close*
Hawk: I love you…thanks for not thinking I’m crazy.
Shiloh: I love you, too…but make no mistake, you are crazy!
Hawk: *laughs*
*Hawk pulls Shiloh close and kisses her*

Okay...so Shiloh's answer is not much of a surprise...anyone should have been able to guess that. The point is they haven't been going out that long and Shiloh is a bit self-conscious about what other people will think (that's one of her motivations for wanting to keep it a secret along with not wanting to take over the excitement of Roxanne and Wolfgang's upcoming wedding). In typical Hawk fashion, he could care less what other people think, he just wants what he wants. :P There's more coming up with this story so stayed tuned...they won't be in the next chapter but they will be back in the chapter after that. :D
I've been checking the tracking on my Min Del Re...and holy crap, she's already in Houston! So close...but the scheduled delivery isn't until Monday so I'm pretty sure I'll have to wait until then to get her. Since she was shipped via UPS Ground, I don't think they deliver on Saturday (I might get lucky, but I'm not going to expect it). Oh well, I can wait...but it's nice know she is so, so close to being here! :D
