Chapter 179: Bon Voyage
Hawk: I made the arrangements…did you get time off work?
Shiloh: Yes, two weeks. Is that long enough?
Hawk: Plenty.
Shiloh: I’m so excited!
Hawk: We leave tonight to go the Las Vegas. In two days we leave for our honeymoon.
Shiloh: Where are we going?
Hawk: It’s a surprise…
Shiloh: How will I know what to pack?
Hawk: Alright, here’s a little hint: make sure you pack a swimsuit and warm weather clothes.
Shiloh: That’s not much of a hint, but it sounds nice.
Hawk: It will be, I promised.
Shiloh: And your parents?
Hawk: They were so happy when I talked to them, they were totally ready to drop everything and meet us in Vegas.
Shiloh: I’m glad they are so supportive…that really helps.
Hawk: Our friends will understand, too. Are you sure you don’t want to at least tell a few of them before we leave?
Shiloh: I probably should…but I don’t know…I don’t know if I’m ready to answer questions.
Shiloh: I do at least need to tell Roxanne we will be gone for a while.
Hawk: Let’s pack and we can find her on our way out.
Shiloh: Okay.
A Little While Later…
Hawk: Do you have everything?
Shiloh: *nervous* Yes.
Hawk: You’re sure you want to do this.
Shiloh: Absolutely sure.
Hawk: There’s Roxanne.
Shiloh: She will wonder about this…I hate deceiving her…
Hawk: Then just tell her.
Shiloh: I…can’t. I don’t want her to try and talk me out of it.
Hawk: Do you think she would?
Shiloh: I don’t really know…that’s one reason I’m not sure about telling her right now.
Hawk: We can at least tell her we are going on vacation, that won’t be too hard.
Roxanne: Hey you two! *notices their bags* Are you going somewhere?
Shiloh: Uh…yes. That’s what I was just about to tell you. Hawk and I are taking a trip together. We are leaving tonight and we’ll be gone for about two weeks…I didn’t want you to wonder.
Roxanne: Sounds fun! Where are you going?
Shiloh: Um…
Hawk: Shiloh doesn’t know…it’s a surprise from me to her.
Roxanne: Wow…
Hawk: We…er…want to spend some special time together.
Roxanne: I see…what about work?
Shiloh: I took some time off, it’s all arranged.
Roxanne: I hope you have fun then!
Hawk: Thank you…I know we will. *smiles*
Shiloh: Bye, Roxanne.
*Roxanne watches them walk off together…and notices something…*
Roxanne: What a pretty ring Shiloh is wearing…
