Chapter 185: Unrealistic
*Sebastian is taking a walk, thinking about Paige and trying to figure out what to do*
*He runs into Ronan*
Sebastian: Ronan, good to see you.
Ronan: Hello.
Sebastian: How is Miss Kiki?
Ronan: *sigh*
Sebastian: Did I say something wrong? You looked happy with her the other day. I was pleased to see that you took my advice and decided to give her a chance.
Ronan: I’m afraid it did not work out.
Sebastian: Oh…well, I am sorry to hear that.
Ronan: I appreciate your help. I know you mean well and just want to see me happy, but Miss Kiki is really not the type of lady I am looking for.
Sebastian: I see. May I ask what type of lady it is you are looking for? From my perspective Miss Kiki is a good match for you.
Ronan: You will not like to hear what I have to say…
Sebastian: You had better tell me anyway.
Ronan: I would like to find a princess.
Sebastian: A princess?
Sebastian: *irritated* And what, may I ask, do you have to offer a princess…not being royalty yourself?
Ronan: I was raised among royalty; it is what I am accustomed to.
Sebastian: Good lord, Ronan! Even I do not require the company of a princess, and I have more right then you to expect it since I am, in fact, a prince.
Ronan: I suppose…I am just used to lady with a certain kind of upbringing. Miss Kiki does not qualify.
Sebastian: *rolls eyes* Now I understand your earlier interest in Madison.
Ronan: *clears throat uncomfortably*
Sebastian: Pardon me for saying so, but I think you have unrealistic expectations.
Ronan: But…Miss Kiki isn’t even magical!
Sebastian: What is your point? I would think you have lived here long enough to stop caring about these kinds of things. I can see now you are still rather shallow. I pity Miss Kiki, but at least she is not aware of your…preferences.
Ronan: Oh…er…
Sebastian: You did not!
Ronan: I had to tell her! I did not feel it was fair to allow her to continue to think she might have a chance. I thought I was doing her a favor!
Sebastian: So much for that “royal upbringing” of yours that you think is so superior! You still have no notions of how to treat a lady!
Ronan: *shifts uncomfortably*
Sebastian: How, may I ask, did Miss Kiki react when you told her these things?
Ronan: *meekly* She did not take it well.
Sebastian: *mutters* No surprise there, how could she?
*Sebastian begins to walk away*
Ronan: Where are you going?
Sebastian: *impatient sigh* To see Miss Kiki! Someone should go make sure she is alright and I don’t trust you to know how to apologize correctly. I also don’t want her to think that everyone from our kingdom is as insensitive as you are…

If you have followed my stories for the past year then you can tell, especially in this chapter, how Sebastian has changed. I mean he's still him, he's just an improved version. When he first got here he acted more like Ronan. Sebastian has really taken the "gentleman" persona to heart and he's really into it. Plus it says a lot about him that even though he is having plenty of his own personal problems he is totally willing to drop everything to make sure Kiki is okay...and he doesn't even know her that well. Blah, I'm babbling, I just really like how his character has evolved. :D
rytearik sent me a little hoodie she made in the hopes that it would fit Ainsley...and it does! I just finished it up with the buttons and snaps she sent along and here it is:
The hood fits her head, but her wig kept falling off when I tried to put it on. :P She she's wearing it down for now. Thanks, Amber! <3
