Chapter 186: Tea Time
*Sebastian enters “The Sweet Shoppe”*
Kiki: *surprised* Sebastian! How…uh…nice to see you. Can I help you with something?
Sebastian: Hello, Miss Kiki. I actually came to see you.
Kiki: Oh…is that so? I won’t pretend to wonder why.
Sebastian: I spoke to Ronan.
Kiki: I figured that.
Sebastian: I assure you that I do not share his…views. I am ashamed of him. I wanted to make sure he did not hurt you too badly.
Kiki: That’s…very kind. I was pretty upset, but I’m okay now. He isn’t who I thought he was…I’d rather know that even if it is disappointing.
Sebastian: You are much more forgiving than I am.
Kiki: Well…I wouldn’t say that. I don’t exactly want to see Ronan anytime soon. I’m still really embarrassed about what he said.
Sebastian: Then I will not bring it up anymore…but Ronan is a fool. *scowls*
Kiki: Um…can I ask you something?
Sebastian: Certainly.
Kiki: Are you really…a prince? Ronan said you were.
Sebastian: I am indeed…but it means very little now. When I left my kingdom I gave up my royal connections. Only Ronan continues to see value in them.
Kiki: I see.
Sebastian: Unlike Ronan I don’t require the companionship of a princess. Even my lady… *trails off*
Kiki: *concerned* Are you okay?
Sebastian: She’s not my lady anymore…I guess I would have to call her my former love. My point is she is not a princess, but I loved her.
Kiki: It sounds like you still love her.
Sebastian: *sigh* I suppose that is true.
Kiki: I’m so sorry!
Sebastian: It is alright. Please…I came here to reassure you, not to unload my problems on you.
Kiki: How about some tea, would you like some?
Sebastian: Tea?
Kiki: I know…it’s a bit old fashioned, but I have afternoon tea every day.
Sebastian: I was only surprised by your offer. I have not had a decent cup of tea since…since leaving my kingdom. Thank you, I would appreciate a cup.
Kiki: *smiles* Tea always makes me feel better…maybe it will help.
*Kiki hands Sebastian a cup of tea*
Kiki: My grandmother always had tea; she said it was one of the refinements of life. So I suppose I learned it from her.
Sebastian: *inhales deeply* It smells wonderful.
Kiki: It’s one of my own special blends.
*Sebastian takes a sip*
Sebastian: It is excellent! Thank you again.
Kiki: My pleasure…and I’m happy you like it.
Sebastian: I miss having tea…
Kiki: Like I said, I have it every afternoon. You are more then welcome to join me any time and have some. I certainly wouldn’t mind the company.
Sebastian: That is a kind offer. I will probably join you from time to time if you do not mind.
Kiki: I don’t mind at all.
Sebastian: Ronan really is a fool…
Kiki: *smiles* Yes, I suppose he is…drink your tea.

I don't have anything additional to add to this chapter, I just meant it to be simple and straight forward. Oh...I guess I do want you to notice that Kiki isn't crying her eyes out or plotting revenge or anything like that. She's hurt, yes, but she's also sensible.
I haven't used my Afternoon stock for a while and it struck me that Kiki would probably look kind of cute in it and it goes with her style so I tried it on her and took her out for a little photo shoot:
I'm not sure about the glasses but overall I really like this outfit on her a lot!
Without the glasses...yeah, much better I think. ;)
Here she is taking a little walk in the trees.
Pink is more her color than purple, but I still like it. The style works well for her and her personality.
One more: Here Kiki is sitting in the sun by the flower garden in our front yard. We planted these a few weeks ago and they are blooming really nicely.
