Jaejoong pulled the skirt over his slim hips and Jessica laughed when he almost tripped. She clapped her hands and tossed a pair of heels at him, “You’re not done yet. You heard the scriptwriter a while ago. He said you’d have to look convincing -“
He rolled his eyes, “That asshole’s just a pervert.” Jaejoong held up the hooker heels and tossed them back at her, “I’m sure you haven’t missed the way he’s been looking at me lately.”
Jessica sat down on the stage and shrugged, “There’s no one else who’ll write something for the company, so we’ll have to make do with him.” She rested her chin on her knees and watched Jaejoong, “Someone better will come along eventually.”
“May that someone be six feet tall, handsome, and gay.” Jaejoong replied with a chuckle as he put on the wig that was on the floor. He turned to Jessica and put his hands on his hips, “Do I look pretty?”
“Yes you do.” Jessica giggled and threw the hooker heels back at Jaejoong, who caught them before they hit his face. “Now come on, put the heels on so that you can play with everyone’s minds and -“
The doors of the small theatre slammed open, and a breathless man stumbled in. He caught sight of Jaejoong, in his mini skirt, blonde wig, and in one of the hooker heels, and his eyes widened.
Jaejoong, on the other hand, felt like dying of humiliation.
“Are you looking for someone?” Jessica asked as she stood up and turned around to look at the guy.
The guy swallowed, “Uh - yeah, I was looking for the head of the -“
“You’re a writer?” Jessica interrupted excitedly, “I can help you find him!” she turned back and looked at Jaejoong, “Or more like, Jaejoong can help you find him…once he gets out of costume.”
The writer approached the stage, and both Jaejoong and Jessica ogled his long legs. As soon as he was up close, Jaejoong blushed even harder - the guy was handsome.
“I’m Yunho.” The writer greeted, holding his hand out for them to shake.
Jessica shook his hand, and Jaejoong moved to follow after her. However, as soon as he’d taken one step, he’d wobbled on the heels he was wearing and fell off stage - and right onto Yunho.

The next day, Jaejoong was in Yoochun’s office, flipping through Yunho’s scripts idly. To be honest, he wasn’t even really reading them - he just needed to know what Yoochun thought of Yunho.
“So, do you like him?” Jaejoong asked, trying to keep the curiosity out of his voice.
Yoochun shrugged, “Well, his scripts are good.” He noted as he set the stack of papers down onto his desk, “But…they’re a little…”
“A little what?” Jaejoong asked, his hands gripping onto the script tightly. He looked down at the papers and then back at Yoochun, “I think they’re great!”
Yoochun frowned and smacked Jaejoong with one of the scripts. “It’s so obvious you didn’t bother to read any of them.” He rolled his eyes and leaned back into his chair, “I think I should probably call him about an interview.”
“An interview? But why?” Jaejoong questioned, more than a little dismayed. Yoochun never asked anyone for interviews, he usually just accepted a person as long as they showed interest in their little company. “Don’t you think he’s -“
“You’re biased because you like him.” Yoochun cut in, and despite Jaejoong’s sound of disapproval, he pressed on, “But I still need to talk to him.” He took out his phone and dialled the number Yunho left behind, as he waited for Yunho to answer, he looked at Jaejoong, who was smiling at him innocently.
“What?”
“Can I stay while you interview him?”
Jesus Christ, he knew it. Jaejoong liked the guy. Yoochun rolled his eyes - he’d never been one to be able to refuse Jaejoong, so he gave his nod of approval because Yunho had answered the phone with a greeting.
Unfortunately, before he even had the chance to greet Yunho back with a good morning, Jaejoong let out an uncharacteristic girly scream of glee that was loud enough to reach the speaker of Yoochun’s phone.
“Was that your sister?” Yunho asked, absolutely clueless about Jaejoong’s irritating fanboy glee.
Yoochun sighed, “No, that was just Jaejoong.”
o-o-o
Yunho was in Yoochun’s office while Jaejoong sat away from them on one of the worn down couches, trying to look like he was reading one of Yunho’s scripts and not like he was eavesdropping on the conversation.
He flipped a page quietly and glanced at Yunho, who was waiting for Yoochun to explain the reason for the interview. Lucky for the two of them, as soon as Yoochun finished his call, he started the conversation immediately.
“Listen, Yunho.” Yoochun placed his hands on the desk and fiddled with a pen, “Your work, it’s really good, and -“
“Thank you.”
Yoochun smiled, “But there’s just one problem that I have with it.” He took out one of the scripts Yunho had given him previously and splayed them out on the wooden desk, “All of them are just really…tragic. None of them have happy endings, and actually, I realized that none of them are of the romance genre.”
Yunho was silent, and Jaejoong watched him carefully - so that was the problem. Yoochun was a huge romantic, and that was evident by his play selections. He refused any sort of tragedies, and he adored happy endings.
“Oh.” Yunho’s voice sounded disheartened, and Jaejoong wanted to give him a hug, but instead he remained rooted on his spot on the couch, still watching the two of them carefully. “I didn’t think that would be a problem.”
“Well, if you can come up with something romantic within two months or so, I’d be glad to choose your play. To be honest, we’ve been having problems with our current scriptwriter…he’s a little too touchy.”
“I think touchy is an understatement Chun. He’s a freaking pervert.” Jaejoong commented from the sofa, earning him the other men’s attention. Yunho chuckled, the noise sending Jaejoong’s heart aflutter, while Yoochun just frowned.
“Anyway.” Yoochun cleared his throat and held out his hand, “I’ll be happy to receive something from you soon. You won’t have to worry too much because we’re doing a production at the moment, but I would like to read something from you soon.”
Yunho stood up and shook Yoochun’s hand, “Of course. I’ll have something for you soon.”
“Great.”
Yunho made his way to leave, but just as his hand clasped the brass door knob, Jaejoong stopped him. “Hey Yunho, you know, it’d be perfectly fine if you came over to the theatre and watched us practice…to get some sort of idea of how things work around here and such.”
Jaejoong ignored Yoochun’s knowing look and smiled, “Who knows, you might get inspired.”
Yunho thought for a moment and glanced back at Yoochun, “Do you mind if I hang around here for a while as I try to write?”
“Sure, if you want to.” Yoochun replied, “I don’t mind it at all.”
“Good! It’s settled then.” Jaejoong cut in happily as he moved off the couch with effortless grace. He closed the distance between him and Yunho and smiled, “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
A blush made its way across the other man’s cheeks, and as Jaejoong exited the room, he had a feeling that he’d be showing up to rehearsals early for a change.
o-o-o
Yunho showed up to rehearsals, and Jaejoong came early to talk to him every day in the empty theatre. As the actors and actresses practiced their lines and musical numbers, he and Yunho would sit in the farthest row of seats, talking quietly.
“Why aren’t you practicing?” Yunho asked as he scribbled notes on his notebook, his eyes concentrated on the page. He looked up, “I thought you were a part of the production.”
“Well…” Jaejoong leaned back, “They decided that I didn’t look good in a drag, so I’ve been demoted. I’m just a minor character now, and they haven’t reached my part yet, so I’ll just be sitting here, with you, until then.”
“I see.”
Jaejoong tried to glance at what Yunho was writing, but the other man jerked back before Jaejoong could even read one line. Jaejoong pouted, “I don’t get it. Why don’t you want to show me what you’re writing?”
“It’s just…” Yunho trailed off and glanced at Jaejoong, “I just don’t want to.”
“But why not?” Jaejoong questioned, resisting the urge to push up Yunho’s glasses which were threatening to slip off the bridge of his nose. “I mean, I’ll see it eventually, so why don’t you -“
“It’s not good.” Yunho muttered as explanation before he slammed the notebook shut and stood up, “Trust me, it isn’t -“
“I won’t know if you don’t tell me what it’s about.” Jaejoong argued with a pout as he stood up and followed Yunho out of the theatre, “Besides, it really can’t be that bad. I mean, it’s love, that shouldn’t be so hard to talk about -“
Yunho turned around abruptly, and Jaejoong bumped into him. He panicked and took a few steps away, “I mean, love, I know love! Everyone’s been in love before, but I don’t know, I just can talk about love, not when -“
Jaejoong stared blankly. “What?”
Yunho shut his mouth and shook his head. “I’ll just go now.” He turned around again, but Jaejoong reached out and took hold of his wrist.
“What are you so flustered about?” Jaejoong asked, as he tried to fight off the blush that was appearing on his cheeks. He dropped Yunho’s hand immediately and took a few steps back, “I mean…it’s love. Everyone’s been in love before -“
Jaejoong stopped mid-sentence as realization dawned upon him.
“You haven’t been in love before?” he asked.
Yunho grew red, “It’s not something to talk about with someone I’ve only known for two weeks.” He muttered as he ran a hand through his hair, “I mean - love, what is it really? It shouldn’t be so hard for me to write about, yet every time I try, it’s like I run into a block of mental instability and -“
“You’re so cute.” Jaejoong commented, the words out of his mouth before he could stop himself. He turned even redder, and Yunho blinked in confusion.
“I’m…what?”
“You’re nothing!” Jaejoong hissed, trying to cover up his word slip. He blushed even harder, and he could hardly believe it when Yunho began to laugh at him. Jaejoong punched Yunho in the shoulder, “Stop it!”
Yunho put his arm over Jaejoong’s shoulder and drew him close, pulling him into a hug and pressing his chest against Jaejoong’s. The hug only lasted a few seconds, and he soon pulled away.
He smiled at Jaejoong, “Let’s get some coffee?” Yunho asked, tilting his head to the side, “I’ll treat you.”
Jaejoong could hardly breathe or think of anything coherent, so he simply nodded. Yunho’s smile widened, and the sight of his smile sent Jaejoong’s heart racing and the butterflies in his stomach fluttering.
Perhaps Yunho had never been in love before, but it seemed like he was a master at getting people to fall in love with him.
o-o-o
Yunho, Jaejoong realized, was a terrible cook.
Jaejoong stared at the mush that he assumed was supposed to be the rice and cringed. He shook his head and dumped it all in the trash can, only for Yunho to come back into the kitchen at the same time.
“I’m sorry.” Yunho muttered, “I’ll pay you back.”
“It’s fine.” Jaejoong replied as he waved away Yunho’s outstretched hand, “We could just order food instead -“
“I’ll pay for it.”
“Jesus, Yunho, don’t apologize.” Jaejoong huffed and set his hands on his waist, “I’m fairly sure that I earn more than you and that my pants cost more than your entire outfit. I’m not getting your money, okay? It’d be like stealing from a beggar.”
Yunho frowned, “I’m not that poor.”
“But still, you’re much more of a struggling artist than I am.” Jaejoong replied as he looked around for a pamphlet for a nearby takeout place, “At least I get paid regularly, you on the other hand…”
“I have a part time job at a café.”
“Right.” Jaejoong said as he took a pamphlet off his refrigerator, “A part time job at a café.” He shook his head and looked at Yunho, “What do you want?”
“I’ll have whatever you’re having.”
“Fine.”
Jaejoong ordered their food, took down the price, and hung up. He placed the money on the kitchen counter and led Yunho over to his sofa. It was small, so they were rather pressed up against each other, and in enough time, Jaejoong was leaning his head against Yunho’s shoulder.
“I don’t like this drama.” Jaejoong commented as the heroine of the show pranced around with her romantic lead, “It’s more than a little stupid.”
“So why are we watching it?”
“Because the girl’s best friend is handsome.” Jaejoong replied honestly, as he snuggled closer to Yunho, he looked up, “You don’t mind if I lean against you, right?”
Yunho swallowed and shook his head, “No, not really.”
“If you’re uncomfortable, just tell me.”
A few minutes passed, and Yunho began to move his arm around, almost like he was trying to pull it away. He lifted his arm up, accidentally knocking it against Jaejoong’s head. Jaejoong lifted his head up at the movement, tearing his eyes away from the commercial that was on the television. “What’s wrong?”
“I’m uncomfortable.” Yunho muttered quickly before lowering his arm and looking away. Jaejoong moved away from him, and Yunho turned back to look at him, “I mean, it’s not like I don’t like you and all, but I don’t know, my arm’s starting to hurt, and I was thinking that maybe your neck was hurting -“
Jaejoong shook his head and laughed, “It’s fine, really.”
“No, I was just concerned about your neck -“
Jaejoong raised an eyebrow, “You’re so odd, really. For someone so handsome, it seems almost like you’ve never had a…girlfriend before.”
Yunho blushed and shook his head, “I don’t like girls.”
“Oh. Oh.” Jaejoong coughed, trying to resist his urge to maul Yunho from how cute he looked, and merely looked away instead. “Well, in that case…” he glanced at Yunho, “You do know I like guys too, right?”
“I do.”
“So…”
“We’re friends.” Yunho stammered, “I mean…friends can hang out with each other, right? I mean, my sister and her friends hang out together all the time, why can’t you and I hang out with each other -“
“You’re rambling again.”
“I’m sorry.”
Jaejoong reached out and pinched Yunho’s cheek, “Don’t be. It’s cute.” He smiled at Yunho and moved off the couch, “I’ll just go to the bathroom. If the food comes, the money’s on the counter.”
Jaejoong left the room, and while he was fixing his hair in the bathroom, he heard the doorbell ring. He finished the last of his touches and walked out, only to see Yunho struggle with trying to shut the door while his hands were holding all the food. He rushed forward and took one of the bags away.
“You could’ve just asked for help.”
“I could do it on my own.” Yunho muttered as they walked to the kitchen. Just as Jaejoong was about to go inside, Yunho ran past him and bolted inside. Jajeoong blinked in confusion until he stepped inside the kitchen - only to see Yunho trying to hide something.
The money was still on the counter.
“You idiot.” Jaejoong breathed out softly, his heart fluttering in his chest as he looked at Yunho, who was trying to look indifferent. “You didn’t have to pay.”
“I…I just felt like I should.” Yunho muttered before he began to remove the food from the plastic bag, “Now come on, I’m hungry.”
Jaejoong sat down across from Yunho and smiled as Yunho placed one of the food containers down in front of him. “Thank you.”
“You don’t have to.” Yunho mumbled as he sat down across from Jaejoong, the faintest signs of a blush appearing on his cheeks. “It’s okay, really. I owe you. You feed me enough as it is.”
“I do it because I like you so much.” Jaejoong said honestly as he reached out to take a piece of shrimp from Yunho’s food, “You’re too cute.”
Yunho blushed, and Jaejoong took advantage of the other man’s distracted state in order to steal another piece of shrimp.
o-o-o
Jaejoong’s head was pounding.
He blinked and hoped the dizziness would go away, but it refused to. He sat up, but he’d done so too fast - and the room seemed to spin faster. His mouth was terribly dry, and the sunlight was hurting his eyes.
It was only when Jaejoong got up from the bed that he realized that he wasn’t in his apartment. There were too many uncapped bottles, too many sheets of paper, too many clothes lying around - in short, it was a mess, and his apartment was never a mess.
He still had his clothes on, so that meant nothing had happened, which would -
The bedroom door opened, and Yunho poked his head in. “You’re awake.” He strode into the room and Jaejoong sat back down on the bed as he watched Yunho approach him with a glass of water and some pills.
Yunho sat down next to him and handed Jaejoong the glass of water. As soon as Jaejoong had his hands around it, Yunho fumbled with it, spilling some of the water onto the bed.
“Crap, I’m sorry -“
“It’s okay -“
Yunho awkwardly held out the medicine for Jaejoong to take, “Here, this is all I have at home. I hope you’re not allergic to it, because I know some people are allergic to some kinds of medicine, and if you’re allergic to it, then I wouldn’t really know what to do, and I really hope -“
Jaejoong took the pill and popped it into his mouth. After he’d swallowed, he laughed and poked Yunho’s cheek, “I’m not allergic to any kind of medicine, so calm down. I don’t want to have to bring you to the hospital.”
Yunho swallowed hard, “I’m sorry, I don’t know what to do when people are hung over. Most of my friends don’t drink, and I don’t really drink myself, so I had to go look up in the internet about what to do -“
“Thanks, that was sweet of you.” Jaejoong cut in, sparing Yunho further awkwardness. He smiled at him before the dull throbbing returned briefly. Jaejoong groaned, but forced a smile, “I’m sorry for making you deal with me.”
“I don’t mind - really.” Yunho mumbled, his eyes focused down on the pattern of his mattress, rather than on Jaejoong’s face. “I don’t mind taking care of you.”
Jaejoong blinked, and Yunho’s eyes darted upward immediately.
“I mean, as a friend! You and I are friends, right? And friends, they take care of each other, so this shouldn’t be so awkward because -“
“You need to let me take care of you sometime then.” Jaejoong replied with a kind smile, “I don’t want you to have to deal with a drunk me again. I’m sorry about all of this, really.”
Yunho shook his head, “Don’t be. You should lie down. I’m sure your head hurts, and you drank a lot last night, so -“
Jaejoong felt guilty, but lied back down onto the bed anyway. “Remind me to stop joining Yoochun’s drinking games.” He muttered as he stared up at the shabby ceiling of Yunho’s apartment, “This isn’t good for me.”
“I’ll make sure to remind you then.” Yunho replied absentmindedly before he got off the bed. He crossed the room and began filing his papers, the noise of the action filling up the room as soon as the conversation died down.
Jaejoong shut his eyes, and listened to the sound of moving paper. He let out a quiet sigh and brought one of Yunho’s pillows closer to his chest. He rolled over to his side and opened his eyes, “Yunho?”
Yunho turned around, “Yeah?”
“How’s your play going?” Jaejoong asked, the pain in his head fading away. He smiled at Yunho encouragingly and hugged the pillow tighter as soon as he noticed that the pillow smelled faintly like the other man, “Are you almost done?”
“…not really.” Yunho muttered before he turned back around to stack the papers into a neat pile. “I wish I could write faster.”
“I’m sure whatever you’re writing is wonderful.”
“I wish it was.” Yunho answered as he left that area and walked over to the bed. He looked down at Jaejoong, “Yoochun’s asked me to show him something, and I barely have anything. It’s been two months, and I haven’t been able to write about love properly.”
“You should fall in love with someone then.” Jaejoong joked as he rolled over onto his back and stretched his arms out, “Then you’ll figure things out.”
“Who then?” Yunho asked as he moved over to the other side of the bed and lied down next to Jaejoong, his eyes focused on the ceiling. “I can’t just pick some stranger. I don’t want to fall in love with just anybody.”
“It could be anyone you know. Love at first sight is possible.” Jaejoong murmured as he resisted the urge to run his hands through Yunho’s hair. “I mean…you could fall in love with anyone - someone like me, or…”
“Someone like you?” Yunho questioned with a shy smile as he turned his head to look at Jaejoong properly. He chuckled and reached out hesitantly to brush his fingers along Jaejoong’s cheek, and almost like he’d caught himself doing something wrong, he pulled his fingers away immediately.
Jaejoong frowned.
“I’m sorry.” Yunho mumbled, “There was something on your…cheek.”
“Oh really now?” Jaejoong asked jokingly, “Or maybe you were just trying to cop a feel? Yunho, are you trying to take advantage of me?”
Yunho turned scarlet and backed away immediately, almost falling off the bed. “I’m not!” he argued, “Are you sure you’re not drunk still? Maybe I should get you more medicine or -“
Jaejoong pouted, “I’m not.” he chuckled and sat up, noticing that Yunho had failed at arranging the papers into neat piles. “Do you want me to help you out with filing those papers of yours? Or maybe I could read your script -“
“No, don’t.” Yunho insisted as he left the bed immediately to hide the stacks of paper somewhere else, “It’s all really awkward.”
“But Yunho - I want to. How am I supposed to know if I’m teaching you about love properly if you won’t let me see the result of all my lessons?” Jaejoong asked with a pout of his own.
Yunho raised an eyebrow, “When did you start teaching me about love?”
“It’s all subliminal.” Jaejoong replied - trying to look confident. “You’ll realize how much I’ve taught you in the future.”
Yunho didn’t buy that answer and merely rolled his eyes. He placed the papers inside a cabinet and turned around to look at Jaejoong.
“Well, maybe you are teaching me about love.” Yunho mused quietly before he walked over to another part of his room. He turned back to look at Jaejoong, “In some sort of weird way.” He shook his head and laughed.
“Love is patient, love is kind -“
“And you’re stealing that line from somewhere.” Yunho replied as he strode over to his bedroom door, “A Hallmark card?”
“No, the Bible.” Jaejoong replied with a smile.
“Even worse.” Yunho commented as he opened the door, “I thought you were agnostic though?”
“I am.” Jaejoong answered as he stretched himself out on Yunho’s bed languidly, “That doesn’t mean that I can’t like overused lines though, right?”
Yunho chuckled, “I guess not. Now come on, make me breakfast before I burn the house down attempting to make cereal.”
o-o-o
“What am I going to do if Yoochun doesn’t like my play?” Yunho asked just as Jaejoong was about to doze off on his bed.
Jaejoong blinked drowsily and rubbed at his eyes before he sat up. Yunho was looking at him, dark circles underneath his eyes. “You don’t have to worry.” Jaejoong mumbled, his words slurred by drowsiness, “It’ll be perfect.”
“But -“
“Yunho, I’ll make you coffee.” Jaejoong offered as he slapped his cheeks lightly, “You’re worrying too much.”
“I mean, I just -“
“What did I tell you about worrying too much?” Jaejoong asked before he flopped back down onto Yunho’s bed. He pulled the pillows closer and snuggled into them, “Your bed’s so much nicer than mine.”
“I’m glad you like it.”
Jaejoong stood up and dragged Yunho to the bed. He forced the taller man to lie down next to him and pushed one of the fluffy white pillows at him, “You have to rest. You’re worrying because you’re tired.”
“Jaejoong…”
There was something about Yunho’s tone that made Jaejoong’s eyes flutter open. It was then that Jaejoong realized how close they were, and he promptly attempted to inch away until Yunho reached out and took hold of one of his hands.
“I’m glad I met you.” Yunho said softly, “You’ve helped me a lot.”
Jaejoong swallowed hard and smiled, “You’ve helped me a lot, too.” He answered quietly, “I’m happy that we get to be together like this.”
Yunho was quiet for a moment before he lifted his eyes back to Jaejoong’s and stared at him. “We won’t be like this if Yoochun doesn’t like my play.” He whispered back, “If he doesn’t like it…”
“He’ll like it.” Jajeoong muttered confidently before he inched closer to Yunho, his scent filling Jaejoong’s senses completely. “I’m sure of it, because you wrote it, and I inspired you to write it.”
“Thank you.” Yunho said softly, his words heartfelt and meaningful as he held Jaejoong’s gaze. “Thank you for everything.”
Jaejoong was at a loss for words, and he could do nothing but stare at Yunho, sincerely shocked by the other man’s sincerity.
“I mean, you’ve…you’ve taught me a lot. Not just about love and other stuff, but about life as well. You’ve helped me become a better person, and I really want to become a better person so that maybe, you and I could -“
Yunho stopped and swallowed hard, “So that maybe…you and I could work together some day…as partners, and maybe -“
“And maybe?”
“I don’t know.” Yunho mumbled before he got off the bed. He looked back at Jaejoong, a blush on his face, “As friends.”
Jaejoong chuckled, “You’ll have to sing a duet with me first Yunho.” He suggested as he languidly stretched himself over Yunho’s bed. His heart fluttered in his chest as Yunho turned back to look at him, his handsome face in its usual state of awkwardness.
“I can’t sing.”
“I’m sure you can.” Jaejoong insisted, “And I’m sure you’ll sound lovely.”
“You flatter me more than I deserve.” Yunho said slowly, his eyes focused on Jaejoong. He shook his head and turned back around so that he could head over to his desk and work on his play.
Jaejoong lied back down onto the bed, and as he listened to the sound of Yunho’s pen scribbling across the ink, he could feel himself getting lulled to sleep. Just as he was about to doze off, he heard Yunho call his name.
“Yes?”
Yunho pushed his glasses up and swallowed hard, “I just want to say…you’ve inspired me a lot - like a muse, and this play I’m writing, I want to dedicate it to you because you’ve always been so wonderful and I really want to thank you for how much you’ve done for me, so we -
Jaejoong smiled, “…thank you. Work hard, okay Yunho?”
Yunho’s smile was radiant, and Jaejoong couldn’t help but smile back at him. As much as he’d always felt like he was teaching Yunho about relationships, it was during times like these that he felt like Yunho was teaching him about love as well.
o-o-o
“Ice cream?” Yunho asked as Jaejoong pulled him out of the theatre parking lot and made him follow him to the closest store.
Jaejoong turned around and pulled his coat closer, “Yes, ice cream.” He argued back before he stuck his tongue out childishly. “It’s time for congratulations anyway. Yoochun liked your play.”
“But I don’t even like ice cream.” Yunho whined, “It’s not fair -“
“What matters is that I like ice cream, and that you’re paying.” Jaejoong replied with a laugh as he and Yunho stopped, waiting for the walk signal to turn green. He crossed his arms and smiled, “Come on, I bought you a new frame for your glasses. The least you could do is treat me to some ice cream.”
Yunho pushed up his glasses, “But seeing is a necessity, and -“
“Eating is a necessity.” Jaejoong replied confidently before he took hold of Yunho’s sleeve and began to lead him across the street. “All you have to do is buy me one cone, then I’ll be happy, and then you can go home.”
“I should walk you home.”
“I’m not your date, you don’t have to.” Jaejoong glanced at Yunho, who was walking right next to him, “Besides, I’m a big boy. You don’t need to worry about me like this. I’ll be perfectly fine going home on my own.”
“Your apartment’s across town - mine’s closer.”
“But I’ve been sleeping on your couch for too many nights.” Jaejoong refused and shook his head, “And I need to get some rest, the first performance is tomorrow -“
“So why are you eating ice cream? Isn’t that bad for your voice?”
“When did you start being so difficult?” Jaejoong pouted, “What happened to the cute, awkward, sensitive writer I met three months ago? I liked him. Bring him back. I don’t want this annoying version of Yunho.”
Yunho laughed, “You don’t like me anymore?”
“No, I don’t. Please bring back the awkward writer.”
“I’m still awkward.” Yunho replied, his tone of voice making Jaejoong turn back to look at him. Jaejoong stared at him and blinked, “What are you talking about? I think you’re fine. You don’t look awkward -“
“I like you.” Yunho blurted out, his face turning red. “Like, and I might possibly even love you. It’s why I was able to finish my play, because I love you, and I’m hoping you love me too, because you’ve been wearing my shirts lately and hanging around my apartment, and flirting, and being jealous whenever I’m with Jessica -“
“I haven’t been jealous!” Jaejoong argued weakly, an equally red blush appearing on his cheeks, “I mean, no! I haven’t!”
“And I really do like you, and this is the first time I’ve said this to anyone, so I really hope that you say you like me too, or maybe love me, and I want to kiss you right now, because you look really good, but I’ve been wanting to kiss you for a while now, but I only got the guts now -“
Jaejoong chuckled and pulled Yunho closer, effectively silencing him with a kiss, that was a little more awkward than he would’ve liked. Yunho wasn’t leaning down, and it was hard to kiss him since he was a bit taller, and Yunho wasn’t really doing anything, he was just standing there.
Jaejoong pulled away, “You jerk.”
“I’m sorry. My brain was still processing.” Yunho answered honestly, “Can we do that again? I’ll be better, I promise.”
Before Jaejoong could even reply, Yunho had leaned down and pressed his lips against Jaejoong’s. Long arms pulled Jaejoong closer, and Jaejoong ran his hands through Yunho’s hair as he deepened their kiss.
After a minute or so, Yunho pulled away. His cheeks were flushed, and Jaejoong pushed up his glasses - he really didn’t understand why Yunho’s glasses were always sliding down.
“Better?” Yunho breathed out, a smile lighting up his handsome face.
“Much.” Jaejoong replied before taking hold of Yunho’s hand and dragging him inside the convenience, “Let’s do more of that later - but right now, I want my ice cream.”
“Wait.” Yunho stopped, and Jaejoong looked back at him questioningly. Yunho walked up to him and placed his hands on Jaejoong’s waist, “I love you.”
Jaejoong laughed, “I love you too, and I’m pleased to be your teacher about love. Our next lesson will be about sex - an act that two people do when they want to show their love for another.”
Yunho spluttered, and Jaejoong could only laugh as he dragged his boyfriend inside the convenience store.
Author’s Note: LOL, yes, long oneshot of doom. XD Hahaha. I think I’m doing quite well on my goal of 20k words. ^__^ This oneshot is 5k, and I’ve written another oneshot that’s 1k. I think I might be able to accomplish my goal after all! Asjkjahdajdh. This birthday oneshot is terribly late, and I do hope I’m forgiven. OTL Please do leave a comment, and thank you for reading! ♥
