Summer seems to have agreed with Fiver. Still undersized, he is now sleek and rounded, a tiny but well-fed little bundle of fur. His eyes still have that faraway look to them, though, as he sits at the edge of the Nexus, nibbling on someone's discarded peach. What is he thinking?

Troubled by something that may or may not be connected to the Nexus, Dirk barely notices the rabbit as he moves to the fringe of the crowds and finds a place to sit. Frowning, he pulls out a pencil, puts it in his mouth, then makes a face and pulls it out again to snap it in two. Damn but he wants a cigarette.
Only then does he notice the rabbit, which looks familiar.

Dirk has a stalker! Well, not a stalker so much as a waddler. Emile was spooked recently by the Death of Rats, so he's been keeping to the edge of the Nexus and not shoving any old piece of food in his mouth. Except, y'know, when he's really hungry.

But Dirk is nice, and Dirk might have some safe food on him, and oh, is that a peach being eaten by a rabbit who might be really nice and share with him? He scurries over. "Hello!" he says to both man and bunny.

The rabbit turns slowly to look first at the human, then at the rat. It has been said of him that 'he looks right through you in such a friendly way', and it's rather apt. His expression is not unpleasant, merely a little vague. After a few seconds of this, he shakes his ears. "I'm sorry; hello! I was somewhere else just then."

Rats are often something to be wary of, where he comes from, as are men, but neither of these strike him as particularly threatening.

Dirk has a vague recollection of a conversation about how strange cigarettes are and bad habits. That ought to keep him from reaching for a smoke for a few minutes at least. "Oh. Hm. I didn't mean to intrude on the small furry animal's corner." He smiles faintly, as the comment was meant as a light joke, but he's not in the best of moods today.
