Passingly amused that the "we truly appreciate you" was an addenda for "being a good boy" and closing the door, not a response in and of itself.

There is no other exit from the room. If there were a fire in the building, unless it was in the room with us, we would have to exit through the fire. The windows don't open - or at least they aren't supposed to, because someone in building maintenance took all the window cranks - and so, when the room is full of students and faculty, which happens sometimes, it gets really stuffy. But, you know, fire codes...
