I just watched Human Traffic. It was shit. I'm sure many of you know this already but it was so bad I thought it was worth mentioning. I have no idea why I sat through the whole thing rather than going to bed, which would have been far more sensible, considering I haven't slept in over thirty hours.

hmm, i liked human traffic, i 'spose i dig dance music more than you, it's not a very clever film, that much it true, but it's a pretty little story and a slab of 90's culture

Maybe I was a bit harsh, but I still don't like it. I didn't have any problem with the music - it was the script and direction that got on my nerves. The characters were so over the top and unbelievable, which I know was a stylistic choice, but it just didn't work and was sometimes embarrassing. The film had some good bits but I hated it because it tried to be a lot cleverer than it is, and in terms of style was just a big mess. I doubt it would even be an interesting film if Trainspotting hadn't already done it all infintely better. It seemed to me to be horribly pretentious and one of the most unfunny comedy films I've seen since Kevin "I'm Shit" Smith's Mallrats. I just don't like it, no maybe I wasn't being harsh after all, Human Traffic is a big pile of wank... In my humble opinion.
