The swordy quote is so very Merlin. It makes me want to reach through the tv screen and snuggle him. Also, you should post this on MerlinxArthur so that more people will see. :) That's usually the only community I watch, and I would have been really sad if I had missed this.

HEE! I get that feeling a lot when I watch this show. They're so very awesome that it hurts sometimes. Have you watched the cast set diaries? Ooh, thanks! I'm currently watching merlinbbc, merlinslash and merlinfic, but I might switch from x-posting to merlinbbc to merlinxarthur- more people seem to use it. I just worry about flist spamming, *blush*

During the next food shortage, Arthur looked at the monstrosity in the bowl served to him. He'd thought Merlin's village bad. He'd thought Merlin's impromptu castle hunting horrific. Merlin drew him a suspicious look as he halved it silently and pushed the container back across, gesturing that he should sit and eat. Sniffing it, Merlin winced.

"Well," Arthur broke the silence, "just close your eyes and think of rat."

Merlin nodded and hit the edge of his bowl against Arthur's.

"You're not-" Arthur paused, shaking his head, "I don't want to know."

"Oh," Merlin grinned, holding out a jacket for Arthur to put his hand into the sleeve, "you will." "

Oh, God. We've both had this fandom for about a week and there's already an agreed OTC. *G* That said, I'm absolutely *loving* writing Arthur. He's a bit like Rodney, if that makes sense- his voice is clear, and his placing/opinion seems to be my key into a story, even if he doesn't actually play a big part.

Morgana is doing something potentially wrong, but she's my friend *cough*, and her reasons noble? I will help her. Arthur, you doll!

Then you shouldn't be surprised that Morgana is fine tuning her voice in my head. Out of all of them she's the clearest right now.

Hee! Exactly! I love that he wants everything to be easy and right and everyone he loves/is responsible for to be okay. He wants things to be simple and right and the fact that he's living in a world just full of complications makes it brilliant- especially watching how he works with all of it.
