Loooooved the quote you picked! Brilliant choice of prompts, and I giggled a little at the modern, very "mundane" twist you put on it. Here I was expecting this huge adventure-quest or fantasy tale, and instead it was all about real creatures and science. I thought that was really nicely interpreted, and very well-chosen!

Thank you! I have far too few occassions to use that quote. I was a bit torn whether I should use the fantasy or the scientific take on it, and I'm glad you like the one I chose.

Oh dear, I'm so much later than that! Sorry!
I'll correct the things you mentioned. Long sentences tend keep turning up as one of the main problems in my writing style. I really need to work on that....
I'll take your other suggestions into consideration (and yes, the phrase is Latin).
