You're not seeing a weight drop because you're turning that same 'fat' weight into 'muscle' weight, which you already said you can tell is improving.
The place I am currently registered to go about ridding myself of my excess pounds is this place
caloriecount.about.com
It's a logging site, it will let you log what you eat, drink, and activities and it will tell you the calories, vitamins, and other things about the foods you have eaten and the activities you have done.
When I did it pretty regularly I did drop about 10 lbs, but I stopped and (cuz I'm crazy depressed and ICE CREAM is my BEST FRIEND) gained it all back plus some ^^;
So I am on there working on it. Hopefully to get to my ideal and stay there ^o^;
The forum people have a TON of helpful advice about weight loss, maintainance and gaining, turning fat into muscle -everything.
I love ice cream, too...so I totally understand. ;) If I have more muscle and less fat I guess I can live with that. :P It's frustrating because when I started exercising before I lost weight almost immediately so I expected that to happen again. When it didn't I just felt let down. But I'm going to keep trying, if for nothing else because I don't want to gain anymore weight.
What kind of exercises are you doing? Some of them do nothing for fat loss..especially if you don't have much to lose. You really have to get your heart rate up and sustain it for at least 20 to 30 minutes.
I still have about 15 pounds to lose, and nothing was really working before. I'm finally starting to lose again, but only because I've started really upping the cardio (running :x). I seriously had to exhaust myself for at least half an hour each day to see results.
Yes, I mostly do cardio and I do excercise in 30 minute chunks. I also do limited strength exercises and some yoga for toning.
For health reasons I can't exhaust myself. If I overdo it even just a little I'll be down for days so it's counter-productive. I may have to accept that this is the best I can do and focus mostly on maintenance and preventing further weight gain.
I have a few dresses for Pullip type 2 and 3 so that might work, they are $11.50 each. I only have two in stock right now but you can take a look. :D I also make custom items on request.
Yeah, I might do that. I have another appointment in July I think. If things haven't become better by then I might just ask. Of course, it's probably just my age. Damn. :P
Taryn! <3 That really is a lovely photo of her. :D
Is the Puki wig maybe slightly too small? I've never had that issue before, but it would be driving me batty as well - sorry I can't be of more help! D: (Speaking of Pukis, I have my eye on Ante...hoping to order her by Christmas!)
Sorry to hear you're having thyroid issues again...aren't they just lovely things? x_x I know I have the same issue - it's HARD to lose weight, and it's super frustrating because you just know anyone else would shed it easily, doing the same things. Silly bodies...why can't they just work the way they're supposed to? I'm going to have my work cut out for me in a couple of months. :3
The Puki wig does seem like it might be just a teeny bit too small, but the funny thing is it's a Fairyland wig made especially for a Puki! Well, Lati makes theirs too big so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I would just like to enjoy my doll without worrying about the silly wig.
The weight issue is super frustrating. I wish I could go back to my teenage/early 20's years when I didn't have to worry about this stuff. Of course I was tons more active then (competitive swimming...I wish I still had that kind of energy).
