Sorry for my little pity party yesterday. But that's what LJ is for, right? So I can get my frustrations out if needed? Well, it helped.
And today is much better. Here is why: I found a Winter Tan Lami. She's mine, paid for even.
*happy squee* :D
Yes, after all that crap yesterday and the stupid Coco seller that stopped returning my emails, I found a Winter Tan Lami without having to get in a bidding war. Yesterday, even though I was kind of upset about those old leads not working out I had a feeling that I needed to bump my WTB posts again on DOA and the Lati Adoption Center...just once, to make me feel better that I wasn't giving up.
Carrie, aka tinybear, who runs "Sleeping Elf" contacted me this morning offering to sell me her Winter Tan Lami. She's even including one of her Tibetan wool wigs in a color of my choice (I asked for it, she agreed...I've been contemplating getting one in Lati yellow size for a while now, so it seemed to make sense to me). I like the fact that I'm dealing with someone I sort of know and has a good reputation as a seller in the doll community.
So...yeah. I bought her and paid for her. Carrie is going to hold on to her for me and mail her a few days before I return from my vacation since I doubt she'd get here from the UK before I leave next Thursday. I don't trust my post office not to misplace the package. :P This way she should arrive during the week after I get home and I have something special to look forward to.
I can't believe it, after all that nonsense yesterday and how upset/sad I felt...I found what I wanted and she's going to be mine. I'm...in shock. And I'm so excited! Do you know how many years I've wanted Winter Tan Lami? It's my Lati grail!
Here's a photo of the actual doll I'm getting (just not with that wig, and I'll probably change her eyes, too):

Thanks to my friends who took the time to try and cheer me up yesterday, I really do appreciate it. <3
