That's pretty standard legal boilerplate for large software companies. If the nuclear facility or whathaveyou have some computers for the control mechanisms, they probably shouldn't be running a media player on the same computers. [Basically, "iTunes is far from fault-tolerant, so don't use it on any fault-tolerant systems".]
(Though it is funny--you could probably use some clever AppleScript and some iTunes playlists to control aircraft navigation if you wanted to.)
Maybe a clever with computers person like you could. I'm not capable of it. And I guess I never thought of that, but again, I can use computers and that's about it.
